I'm as disappointed as the next bloke but old mate Fitzy would be struggling to put different faces out there. I looked at our roster and saw who was actually available, we're really especially struggling with backs, with these guys injured: Kade Dykes, KL Iro, Liam Ison, Mawene Hiroti, Sam Stonestreet and Tom Hazelton too. Not sure about Michael Gabrael either.

Can anyone tell me when the players on development contracts are actually available for first grade selection ?
Fair post Tom. The observation I would make here is even if the fore mentioned players were available, do you think that Fitz would make any changes? His track record suggests not.

As angry as we all are, is Melbourne in Melbourne the place to blood new players?

as shit as Kennedy is, ison and dykes are injured. There’s no one to replace him.

ramien should have been dropped weeks ago. Would love to see vea’ila get a go, but this weeks probably not the week to do it I’d imagine.

The only change he’d make in the halves is Atkinson and the majority can’t stand him. Swapping their numbers on their back isn’t going to change a thing.

not sure how serious Wilton’s injury is but could see burns coming in for him?

McInnes needs to drop back to the bench, but he’s the captain. As if he’s ever going to do that.

Could probably see him bringing puru in for Atkinson. And if Wilton isn’t fit, straight swap for burns. That’s about all he can do I guess. He’s signed them all and made his bed so he has to sleep in it and hope they turn a corner as far away as it seems as happening.

Puru or Burns on bench for Atkinson for a start.

The buzz word from the coach at last weeks presser was:
Discipline.

Nearly wore the word out.

So on that - his focus would have been to get these guys discipline right for this game.
He ain't worried about any other guys form or who deserves to be dropped or promoted.
Coach can only think about one thing at a time.

And this week it is discipline.

Because if we get that right all the other problems will just f-f-f-fade away.

Butler in the bunker is worse. I'm sensing 50 + this week
I was saying this to a mate yesterday, statistically, I think this is the weekend our Premiership hopes are actually put to the sword - 50+ incoming.

I can see a world where we come out all guns blazing for 5-10 mins, make everyone think ‘we’re on’, constantly pressuring their line, then Coates takes an intercept and goes full length, and then the floodgates open.

Nicho will look like he’s going to cry.
Tricky will look flabbergasted
Ramien will look confused and a bit docile
Sifa and AFB will keep their heads down, arse up and be the only ones trucking the ball up with any venom.
Brailey will still look cute.
And the coach will look like Robocop without his helmet on…..

But we’ll all be learning together.

So what can I do on a Sunday Arvo instead of subjecting myself to more visual and mental self abuse.

I know I need not to watch it, I know it will only make me angry and upset.

Was hoping the Emu's were playing Sunday but narhhh they are on Saturday Night.

I might even try to purchase a drone and learn how to fly it just incase I get called up to the war.

I think Jessie Ramien would be in royal blue this week if these was a realistic replacement available.

Jets team vs Souffs, June 29th 2025

Notes. Vea'ila not sharged by MRC after being dismissed by Kasey Beaver.
Only 3 Jets in this squad.
Not enough players again to name and 18th man yet
Probably Lachie Crouch's last appearance as a Jark
Gabrael is a maybe.

There are very few NRL ready players there.

Maybe time to get some NRL ready for 2026 because 2025 just seems to be a yawning abyss that is beckoning.

@Frenzy. do you think numbers 1,2,5,10,11,15 or 19 will ever be genuine first graders. I know Clark played a game for the dogs but don't watch reggies so wouldn't know if any of them are decent
