Just got back from 4 weeks myself. Quite aside from weather, sights, food, booze etc, a highlight was not watching the Sharks, regardless of outcome.

Souths have had the same amount of byes as us and are 2 wins behind us. They sit 16th. With the next few weeks we have coming up and the lack of changes/fixing of issues is doing my head in. I have always been a Fitz guy and agree that we have injuries that have stopped some changes but the inability to change anything is painful. There has to be a consequence somewhere. If the group is connected as he talks about they will respond to a dropping. DA has proven to be a waste of a bench spot. Our middles are being run over.

Get pumped by Storm and nothing will change - perhaps a small but unlikely. Pull something out of our arse vs Storm and we may not see a change once again all year and have the same shit keep happening. Finish bottom half of the 8 and be out quickly.

This comp is super tight and it is hard to get high or low emotionally but when the same f**king shit keeps happening it is extremely hard to not crack the shits as 99% of the fan base have.

I can't remember a more shittier competition than what is being served up this year. So many sides just crap and playing with no consistency and all with the apparent couldn't give a rats attitude.

Our mob is a prime example ...... f**kwits.

The fact that most of the shit clubs can still make the eight is a joke.

If ever the NRL needed to have a top five only finals series it is this year.

I am hoping now that sides that have put in most of the year, sides that have displayed great spirit and who strive to win are the ones at the top at seasons end. They deserve it. The rest (including us) can go and get ......

This comp has been up for grabs for the last six weeks or more. Put a good run together, string five or six in a row and kappow you are in a prime position entering the straight.

I guess I was one of the sheep expecting too much at the start of the year. Oh well there is always next year.

it’s all fair points. The fact he can’t get the players he has at his disposal playing to their ability and keeping their concentration for 80 minutes is a massive f**ken concern given the amount of time he has had with them.

the only realistic change he can and should make is Atkinson and potentially ramien in my opinion, but he probably rates the way ramien has been playing.

it’s pretty slim pickings outside of that for who comes in to replace the current plodders given the injuries.

how does max bradbury go? Tapuha seems to have fallen out of favour. Could Bradbury do the 10 minute bench role? f**k we need something.

Unfortunately, I'll be attending the Storm game this week. I have a family member visiting who wants to go to AAMI Park (they've been to MCG and Marvel previously).

It's going to be a very painful 2 hours seeing this group half-ass their way through the game.

Very lucky to have an easy run up to finals to hopefully scrape into finals where they will get their cheeks spread

Nope. I do think there might be late change though. Fitz wouldn't embarress some fragile bastard by publically dropping them. I kind of expect a soft tissue injury at the eleventh hour

Just looking at the Storm forwards/bench. There's a real element of lumbering oafs in there. Big bodies who are hard to drag down but are not terribly mobile laterally in defence.

Atko on the bench might work in this one but he'd have to get 20 minutes minimum and NOT as a forward. I'd bring him on at fullback with a clear message back up through the guts and on the edge and turn the behemoths around
