It's past time that Douehi received the respect he's due as a legitimate talent...for whatever reason or reasons he's been pigeon-holed as a useful utility which he's proven over and over to be utterly ridiculous. Arguments that he's underperformed over his time at WT are from some other alternate RL reality...he's spent the large proportion of that time recuperating from 3 fkn knee reconstructions! This has been his only un-torpedoed season he's had since coming back from south's. I've said it before and i'll double down on saying he's a uniquely calm and intelligent player...when others around him are losing their heads he keeps his...that ""effective"" composure is something we can't have enough of. Among the current and former rep players from both sides today he stood tall...Richo and Benji need to offer him a deal worthy of his efforts and CONTRIBUTION! He's coming into his best and is only 26 FOR FKS SAKE!!!!
Great win....best work by the coaching staff all season!

Once again the fox commentators were so biased, but the boys made them eat mud.

Doueihi has to be resigned, he's needed, actually Luai laughed in a presser after the game, that he was playing for his contract, he was outstanding.

I thought all the forwards stood up, in terrible conditions.

Skelton is staying as well.

Bula looked like he'd never been away.

Nearly 10/10 from AD. Well done big fella. As was said earlier, this game was likely a dress rehearsal for him getting a better contract...I think he achieved this, well done big fella.
After today, with this slim chance of making the play-offs, the team may be unchanged after our bye...pending on judiciary I guess.

Did anyone get a good look at Curran's try. It looked like simultaneous put down but I can't see the replay just yet.

It looked to me like he actually forced it, whereas Doueihi didn't?

But it's just amazing what willingness, desire and intensity will do to a team.

I was really impressed with Skelton. Perfect wet weather footy. We dropped under nearly every set. It's hard defending in the wet when you have to suddenly change direction.
When their cover hesitated because they're watching the drop under Luia and co let the ball go wide... no cover :)
Skelton scoring tries brings a tear to my eyes.

It’s hard being right. But someone has to do it… There’s been a couple of feel good story’s more so this year including the Mays and the new hooker. But even considering the last 5 or more years this AD story beats them all with ease..
Imagine his lovely family we saw in the presentation of his 100th? prob 150th mum and dad etc…thrilled to bits..That was magnificent from AD today..and as he said he will never forget that Benji didn’t give up on him. I think he just shows what a bit of calm can do amoungst all the commotion..we need more of it

Douehi’s big drama is he has struggled to string games together, he has at times looked ok, I used to rave all the time about him playing 5/8, I like the big bodies, I thought he was ok mostly at fullback, wasn’t overly keen on him at right centre, and he got the job done this year at left centre, but he has killed it in games he has played in the halves this year, he seems a nice fella too. Didn’t get to watch this one I’ll have a watch when I get home, nice to knock over a top 4 side 😊

It was a try. The camera from the other side showed Douhei pushed the ball but Curran grounded it
Cool, thanks for that FR. I appreciate you confirming that.
I had to checked the rules and it's ambiguous.
Law 8.2a says an attacking player has to ground the ball first, and has in the past, overruled the simultaneous put down.

I was a massive fan but he has been inconsistent and defensively extremely poor at times. I've written him off this season and probably last season due to him not getting the job done way too many times.

He has been massive this year and that was his best game ever. He was also showing all the traits of a leader out there.

Just a great performance.

That pass was WAY forward and i'm glad it was and i wish we got away with it being even more forward than that! ..about time we caught a fkn break against the golden child clubs
The fact that the dogs were arguing with thr ref all game didn't help their cause in getting the usual 'favoured team' leg up. Except for the hypocrisy with the 2 high shots.

Being an 'unfancied team' and therefore usually getting the rough end of the pineapple, I reckon you can negate that a bit by being decent, polite, and respectful to the officials, even when decisions don't go your way.

People, regardless of who they are and what they're doing, are positive towards people who treat them kindly. And hence they want to help them out where they can, whether that be consciously or unconsciously.

Outside of a captains challenge, how often do the refs change their minds? The answer is almost never. The polite way is the way to go i reckon. It would be a point of difference to most other clubs who argue pointlessly and constantly with the ref and generally treat them like crap.

I'm sick of this chopping and changing.

Benji deserves massive credit for this win. We've been getting belted in the forwards and he moved AD to the halves and Sione into the middle forward rotation. We then got some great go forward.

To'a looks to have been playing busted and he played Naden. Naden was huge out there as well. He can play. He just makes stupid errors but this time he played smart.

Twal was huge for us as well.

Agree...Twal and Naden's efforts stood out for me as well...how many good games Naden can string together seems entirely up to him as he has the ability
