Let Lawrie, Guler and Sele go. That will give us room for 3 good props. No one’s happy about waiting but which juniors do you want to release to make space for all the forwards who want to come here?
To be fair he got the silent b.What’s that saying about a pot and a kettle again…
Sorry I haven’t seen him playWhat’s that saying about a pot and a kettle again…
Yep I think people are understandably angry with the last 10 years coupled with our inability to sign top players to the Dragons so there's a fair bit of anxiety at the moment, but yeah we now have 7 very promising home grown forwards plus Stanley-Trail as next cab off the rank. On top of that we have 6 other forwards signed for next year, not counting hookers. If we can sign a top front rower then great but otherwise I just can't see the point in signing another bunch of ordinary players which is all we will get because we are where we are at the moment. The juniors were blooded last year and did well, they need more proper game time this year.Josh Kerr may be the big mongrel forward we are looking for to steer the ship. He was good last year and whilst he was at Saints he had the worst coach in Hook guiding him. He will make a difference. Flanno will sort him out.
I totally agree with The Word, saints signing a discard is releasing a promising junior forward which they have coming through. Saints have lost Latu already because he was not getting a run, what's to say the others won't do the same. If Saints did bring in a prop from another team he better damn be a good one and not another Emre Guler. I would rather a Couchy or LPT than a Guler in the pack any day of the week.
No team jumped at the chance to sign up some ordinary players ?If Sele can stay on the park he go's ok.
As we all know he is injury prone
Guler and Laurie are ordinary and I can't believe we could not find a home for them
Can you really blame them????No team jumped at the chance to sign up some ordinary players ?
I think at this stage the current dev list includes Cyrus Stanley - Trail , Kade Reed and Setu Tu which are confirmed Hayden Buchanan may be one and I head we signed young forward Dylan Coutts from Cronulla who may be anotherDoes anyone have any clue about who our train & trialists are?
And also who our development players are?
Other teams have named theirs but not our mob!
Communication with the fans is deplorable!
Disappointed in our recruitment so far. I don't understand how Atkinson gets first crack at the 7 apparently but that's on Shane. Kyle can defend well but that would have to be the worst halves pairing in the comp in all honesty. Praying for a miracle but 26 is looking grim unfortunately

You obviously didn't watch Atkinson in 2024 then. Was a major part of the Sharks success that season playing in the halves. Why would you be surprised that the guy we deliberately recruited as a half after a bumper season gets first crack at playing as a........half?Disappointed in our recruitment so far. Another very tough junior who looks a real prospect.Leeroy Weatherall is a Supplementary/dev list player for 2026 and moves into the top 30 in 2027 (thought i read that somewhere last year) ... will check
Not Atkinson's fault Trindal and Hynes did not get injured. Both on big bucks. Why would you drop them when you are in the 8 for Atko? Not his fault at all. But he will get the starting spot at Saints and will hopefully play at the same level he did in 2024 which he was far better than Nico. Ask Sharks supporters how they feel about Atko and you will get a response which I have had and that is they would rather keep Atko than Nico. How many first grade games has Atkinson started at 7? It's easy to come off the bench and provide some impact as a 14 but controlling a team over 80min every week is a different story.
