yes as a throw in for paying a million plus a year to be the jersey sponsor … I assume you weren’t paying quite as much ?

James Hardie probably looking for a positive Conmunity association after a not so great history …

Companies have other motives to take out a sponsorship like that unrelated to corporate hospitality
No but for a 22k number sponsorship they would throw in an 8 seater open air which was 6k by itself so not sure if that is split when doing annual reports which I think is Perth reds point

Ok …

I have produced seperate stand alone figures for corporate hospitality which are not inclusive of other non game day related sponsorship … surely more accurate when trying to ascertain game day revenue ?

Also ..just give me an explanation how jersey and shorts sponsorship can be “intertwined “ to corporate hospitality
Like I said
sponsors want game day exposure. The more games the more exposure. Cut the games cut the sponsorship value. Shirt and shorts sponsors also get swanky suites on game day. Less home games less suite time for sponsors.

lol …Why not just buy the suite them …if that’s the motivation …much cheaper right …

Anyhow …I’ve stand by the information provided and my original comment about game day revenue

its not and Or. They want tv and media brand exposure AND a swanky suite to get drunk and entertain clients at the companies expense.

Fine, believe what you want. If you think cutting 2 or 3 home games isnt going to hurt a clubs revenue then good for you.

This is called a straw man and is pretty typical from you ….i was only questioning your overstated game day revenue figures which we have since established included unrelated jersey and shorts sponsorships and were wrong

It would be incredibly foolish to cut down from 24 games. The players aren't going to see their salaries cut proportionately for 19 games, and when the competition extends past 20 teams (which will happen sooner than you think), the players will want their mouths filled with gold to add more games. Aside from the match day revenue decreasing considerably, the big thing I see being an impediment to cutting the schedule is that many stadiums are locked in to having so many games each season.

In 2029 Wests are to play at least 7 in Campbelltown and 4 in Leichhardt. Square that with a 9 game home slate every other season. Less games, less inclination for new/improvements to be funded by the State too. I'm not sure how many Bears games are locked into Perth but if that is 10, then there would be no North Sydney home game and Magic would always be an away game.

I can't seeing 19 games being a goer beyond off season paper talk.

In terms of the next TV deal …22/23 games is probably where it will land when they get to 20 teams …that’s based on either 4 groups of 5 or 5 groups of 4 playing each other twice ..

And I was questioning your belief in the Tigers saying that 30k at Commbank only brought in $1mill when Eels brought in more than that on an 18k avg.

And as I said …your information was irrelevant…based on one line of a report detailing a much larger category of income including non gameday related finances ..

I provided you with the correct information from the NRL via Norman…which you have never once questioned is incorrect, even though it contradicts your argument

We can do this all summer if you like

I’m in the depths of winter, I’ve got time lol

direct ticket and membership revenue $761k a game (18k crowd avg)

Sponsorships and corporate sales $12.3mill
now let’s say pure kit sponsorship is $5mill (and pretend number of home games doesn’t influence this lol) that leaves $663k a game in corporate game day related sales

so we are at $1.42mill a game plus whatever food and bar takings the club gets from stadium sales. again how does a crowd of 30k get nearly a third less revenue than a crowd of 18k unless tigers failed miserably to sell corproates packages or gave tickets away for free?

I see your man Richo leading the charge against giving Perth salary cap assistance …

“They wanted to come in.. they knew what was happening… they have to play by the same rules as everyone else …

If they can’t make a go of it … it’s a poor situation especially in a one team town.. there are nine clubs operating in Sydney… it’s bullshit on every level if they think they’re going to get concessions “..:

i think Richo is top of your XMas card list this year .. lol

Same bloke who disastrously started a club in Gateshead that went bust in a year? You’d think he’d be a bit more empathic to our plight lol

I want to see Perth do well .. but I think we all knew salary cap concessions would never be agreed by the other clubs … the inmates run the asylum in the NRL unlike the dictatorship AFL

The media are suggesting giving the players travel allowances so their family can visit them more often … not sure that will matter much when guys are turning down $1.2m a year to stay at the Titans

We’re building a club for the next 50 years, we‘ll likely struggle first 5. As long as we keep building the club and don’t end up perennial losers it’ll be fine.
like said nrl would rather watch clubs struggle than compromise it’s pretend equity.

said all along that we should have been given a 2-3 year lead in and concessions in relation to relocation allowances and cap concessions for players signed outside of nrl. But we wander off topic…..

Relocation allowance …how much is that -$20-30k ?

Whilst I’m confident they will survive … a good start is critical to avoid them limping along for years …you only get one chance at making a good first impression …
