panthers fan will be the first ones to say schneider can tackle but his attack is slow. its like he sees the plays unfold but he cant get to the point of field to actually put the plays on in time for any effectiveness. but he will make tackles.

boyd had a hyper dominant forward pack in the games he was chief play maker at warriors in 2025 and couldn't get it done. good kicking game though.

purdue seems the best of the lot but no guarantee he is even a half/5'8.
I see Purdue as a Fullback.

theres something in a purdue fb, wishy running 5'8, sexton organising defensive half if they can nab a decent dummy half that has a scoot in him.
I'd like to see that English fella get a shoot at 5'8, I think he's got something, good step, good pass.
Wishart for me is a 9, his speed out of hooker will hold the markers from sliding off- that's a good start for attack.
Purdue is a top shelf Fullback, that being filling all the fullback roles but with a genuine ball playing attribute.

You'd need to give it 6 to 10 games to gel though.

wishys show and go is pretty elite. whether thats best utilised running towards the set line or against markers im not sure.

You can get anyone whether they are fat, old or whatever from the bar line at the ground... They will play better than Schneider does

yeah, its like i said he can definitely defend and hold his own in the line and isnt a liability.
but his legs and hands just arent catching up to his eyes. he sees the plays but cannot get to them to make it work.

that fair assessment?

karl is no guarantee to even get back properly. he played 4 games last year. not sure ya watching much q-cup at this stage.
I watch zero qld and nsw cup but then again I watch zero super league where Croft went too

If it’s not nrl I’m not too interested in it even the dud nrl teams get maybe till origin then I brush them for the rest of the year

But gus paid 500k transfer fee for oleppau if he gets back he’s talented

I was talking to someone that played bulldogs juniors with him saying how talented he is

i get ya but i think that might also be the issue.

ya left with the last nrl impression of croft which was shit but the broncos were shit. dearden carrigan were shit too. its just the seibs era. all them guys talented but seibs a hack and left a bad taste for people on a few players. werent the players fault in this instance though.

croft been solid performer since then. i get its the esl but he has had offers after he left nrl to come back

Last time Croft was in the NRL he looked completely clueless, deer in the headlights type shit. SL is no gauge, so.. well.
Dearden a Carrigan never looked as shit as Croft did that year. What I saw had nothing to do with a coach, that was a guy completely out of his depth.

he looked fine in 2018-19. then he was the esl best player.

you say nothing to do with the coach. dude seibs. the 20/21 broncos were atrocious.

dearden was trash in 2020/21 that broncos couldn't flick him off quick enough. released half way through 2021. i remember how it was at the time.

On Croft. The Broncos 2020/21 under Seibs season ruined him and lets be honest it ruined Dearden as well.
Dearden bounced back amazingly with Cowboys after it looked like the scrap heap for him but that was also in NRL.

Croft ended up winning man of steel in 2022 and picking his career back up but that was in ESL.

Not saying croft is on deardens level or anything so dont take it out of context just pointing out that seibold ruined both players and croft gets maligned still for it even though he has vastly improved albeit it in ESL.
I said the other week I wouldn’t mind seeing Croft given another go. He wasn’t treated fairly during his time in the NRL bra

I have no doubt he trains well, or else Ivan wouldn't pick him.

He would be one of those guys who trains well, nails the plays but can't handle the speed of FG

I've said that about lots of players. Seems they are only interested in throwing open the checkbook to players that can in fact refuse 😔
Mate their offer to Colquhoun was phenomenal, and to us Sharks supporters we understand why they did that. The kid has it.
We don't get mentioned much when it comes to team cultures, but the Sharks have something there that the players want to be a part of.
Unfortunately we can't keep them all.
Perth bring in McInnes means they bring in standards that he sets.
To me it's a no brainer.
