Kevvie Walters saying that if he was still Broncos coach Payne Haas wouldn’t be leaving

Read the room Kevvie, only Gordie and Buzz are left on that side of the fence these days

Will never be able to remove the scum element from Storm management

The Parramatta Eels NOT HAPPY about this alleged text from Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski to Andrew Abdo last month:
“Hi Andrew, not getting anywhere at this point, can you apply the blow torch on Parramatta to get this done.”

Nah, the scum of Melbourne wouldn't wash off in an acid bath.

Their chairman played victim, and their CEO went straight to the top to get help.

They're a bunch of cretins.

Early January the Storm told Lomax they would cover all the court costs in his pursuit to get a release from Parramatta

Chuck those all on their salary cap

I think we're all very aware that a lot of clubs cheat the system, and Melbourne are the gold standard of it.

Just a putrid club.

I want to be in Melbourne when Bellamy goes, the arse falls out of that club, they fall into the bottom 8 and their fans are like that Homer gif, where he backs into the hedge with a Storm jersey on, then returns with whichever side is popular/winning at the time.

For all the (rightful) lauding of Bellamy - he's been a central component of all the dodginess...

Couldn't possibly agree more.

I find it hilarious that Bellamy is often referred to as the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-doing leader of that club, in his documentary he said he'd only learned to delegate in the last couple of years. Yet in the mid 2000s, there was a systematic rort of the cap...yet he, Cam Smith (who managed himself) and others had no idea. It was all Wally Waldrom.

Tui ad.

Great coach, bender of the rules and beyond

I’d heard a yarn mid 2000s that when he said he didn’t teach his club the wrestling holds, his out to that was he would send them into the wrestling coach and walk away

It’s a real false economy with those blokes and the esteem they are held in as individuals. Slater showed a bit of his true character at that press conference when he was under the pump. Back in 2009 there were a group of 8-10 years old giving him some shit about the 40-0 from the year before, and he turned around and told them to get fcked lol. Would probably create some media interest these days but nothing then

Ha I remember that.

That whole 'us against the world' press fiasco where they walked across the field in unison was nauseating. Oh woe is us, even though GI has two speed boats in his garage, Cam Smith just built a beach house, but someone like Ryan Tandy is on $100k and is expected to be sweet with it.

Then they wacked the Warriors first week back playing for no points, which bolted me on as a Storm hater.

The Storm have no barrel that they won’t scrape the bottom of

They are now claiming huge concern about Lomax’s mental well-being through this whole ordeal.

Well maybe drop off then you absolute plankton

Few days away from kick off, and I’m still not feeling it for the NRL season. Having said that I will be eagerly awaiting the release of the new NRL cards tomorrow morning and grabbing some for the lads new season

Maybe reading Blairs round preview might liven me up, that’s when it feels like it’s all back again

Vegas kinda makes it weird. Was different last year coz the Wahs were there, but doesn't really feel like the season kicks off until next week eh.
