I think next few weeks the 4 teams will be confirmed...
Maybe working out whether to debut Perth Bears..that would give them maximum exposure quickly but maybe logistically a problem whilst trying to get established.
Im 99% sure we are going

I read somewhere there are 12,000 UK league fans there, going over for the Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos match.

Brad Arthur gets his time to shine in Vegas... shoes optional perhaps? I hope he's staying within 7mins drive to the ground.

I’m not sure of the final number but there were a lot. I saw more super league jerseys/shirts wandering the streets than nrl ones

I wouldn't be surprised if we're now overlooked for Vegas...although an annual Round 1 clash with the Storm might get us a go.

We've unlikely made any friends at NRL HQ the last couple of months.

Aside from Nathan Hindmarsh making The Bellagio richer, what is the benefit to our club for Vegas?

Gives some fans an excuse/opportunity to travel and support the club. Something they may not do otherwise.
Increased exposure for the club on the international stage. That may or may not be worth something.

Nothing its just a junket for the NRL and all those influencers..

The NRL hasn't really done much different to get into the USA over the 3 years now. It's just an expensive home/away game

The NRL made over $2m profit this time around apparently and PVL says the pie will keep growing. Not bad going considering the first year was a huge loss while setting it all up and proving to the sponsors and Co of the codes worth.

Yes I heard that but how did they make it.. Most of the eyes on the NRL in Vegas is still the Aussies and Pommies..

I would like to see the growth year by year from the Yanks.

No one in the Media is saying it publicly because all the Journos love a junket and don’t want to jeopardise their seat for next year, but I think after its third year if the NRL was too of made any imprint at all in the U.S then you would have expected the crowd figures to have gone up by now.

I mean if you are a Vegas local surely after 3 years you would have at least been well aware of the games happening and if there was any interest you’d have given it a crack by now.

I don’t have the numbers but I’m pretty sure they have gotten between 40-45k all three years in a 60k seater stadium. Realistically it’s just all made up of Aussies and Poms on a weeks holiday.

Nothing wrong with that at all but let’s call it how it is.

it's not All about the match Crowd
numbers
it's media.betting. exposure
and NRL are building that
from whats reported
bulldog's v dragons
was the 3rd highest tv ratings
for 1st round. ever
and broke all TV ratings for
bulldog's v dragons matches
and USA Fox Sports 1 and 2
both had Vegas matches live

The one thing the NRL has now got out of it is extra commercial benefits for regular season games

Is all of sudden NRL have 2 more regular season games they can take to governments & city tourism bodies around the world that 2 x NRL Games will inject further money into there economy. And that will pay for the trip anyway.
