Wigan home jersey doesn't look as atrocious on the field as it did at the reveal. Still don't think I bring myself to buy one though.

I forgot where I saw the post but Toulouse have just 46 games of experience in their whole club which is by far the lowest in SL
I think they’re fall away as the season progresses, but I think we’re seeing the benefit of them practically running the same team they finished 2025 with. That they didn’t go out and sign a whole host of super league veterans. There’s squad cohesion and momentum there that some of the other teams lack

Cohesion and coaching are underrated aspects of success. The game isn't played on paper after all.

As for whether they can hack it for a long season, probably not. But it's really great to see all expansion teams with a win (or 2) after 2 weeks, though York got a reality check. Doom and gloom about the quality being ruined by expansion is so far unfounded.

I’m still loving reading comments about the WCC, people that were saying Broncos were going to win by 50 now have every excuse known to man.
My favourite one is
If only the game went a few minutes longer 😀

Went up to Saints v Leigh. Four hour drive done, to the club shop, saw family, did the pie run to take home, into town for drinks and then to the ground. Saints had actually made an effort to create a matchday experience with a funfair, some live bands in the stands and a few other bits for kids.

A tight game in the end and an admirable defensive display to hold out Leigh, despite losing two players to injury and two others to HIA’s. Saints’ attack wasn’t great in the second half but that was mitigated by the fact the defence was so good, they didn’t really look like conceding many.

A few more drinks in town till calling it a day at 1am and then bed to do the 4 hour drive back at 11am, after breakfast with a relative.

Saints respond to Jon Wilkin Statement

Embarrassing, really. I’m not sure this statement ever needed to be in the public domain and it was a conversation to be had in private between Saints, their lawyers, Sky and Jon Wilkin and/or his agent. Airing it in public nearly two weeks after the original comments is a bit daft, really.

Surprising result, I was expecting more from Leigh

I didn’t think much of Leigh last week in attack, in all honesty, though I expected a similar effort to that but with Wigan winning relatively comfortably by something like 14-20 points in the end. I didn’t foresee a blowout.

How embarrassing is this for Super League to have a club like Cas Tigers in its competition.
Total incompetence by Cas Tigers.

A few points here;

1. Cas contributed £0 towards the cost of travel to Toulouse. Toulouse covered it. In a way, I’m delighted they f**ked them about.

2. Unless you want Toulouse (and Catalans) to go broke by hiring private jets, I’m not sure what can be done at this time of the year when many routes to Perpignan/Toulouse aren’t in operation until mid-late March.

3. Cas chose their route. It’s on them. I’m not sure it’s worthy of relegation.
