Interesting presser with coach Ciraldo last week. He was uncharacteristically flummoxed with the performance , saying that maybe he needed a psychology degree to work out the giant gap between the ceiling and floor in terms of performance. Maybe he was channelling Craig Bellamy’s presser in which the latter said he had no idea why the Storm were playing so poorly.

Maybe the team needs one of Gus’ famous Churchillian speeches to get the players up but there’s only so many number of times that can work.

One thing I did notice was how limited the Bulldogs’ attack looked when Preston went to the head bin. The attack was 5 out of 10 when he was there and 1 out of 10 when he went off. He’s certainly a great tackle breaker. He uses his hip well in contact and spins around making him unusually difficult to tackle.
