Controversial opinion perhaps, but I thought the GF last year was a real sign it's time for Bellyache and the Storm to part ways.

Craig's been there so long he probably needs a fresh start somewhere else, and likewise the Storm have a Premiership-tier squad on paper but it's time they went in a new direction. Not a slight on the coach or the squad in any way - just sometimes things get stale and it's time to move on...
It would have been poor form for Bellamy to leave Melbourne high and dry.

It's a transitional period for the club and they've had some bad set-backs with Katoa etc. It's important for him to stick around, blood the next crop and help recruit a few players, particularly in the outside backs.

0 and 3 rule. Its the premiers so it would be virtually unheard of. And in general no team wants to go 0-3 to start the season. So they dig deeper for the 3rd game.

Lose your first two you win the 3rd...not always but its a rule I stick by.

Did you have a bet? Good odds for us to win last night.

Yeah Broncos head to head. Went out over 3 bucks. I got on Parra last week too. Brisbane are my good luck charm so far this year.

So that means roaring favourites against the Dolphins next week? My crystal ball says don't tip them yet. I need to see how the phins play tonight.

Don't say it...

Ahh memories. High watermark of Wallace's career that.

I'm guessing you went 0-3? From memory not an amazing premeirship defence but the Storm were cheating that year.

Yep started 0-3. Were last after round 10 or so.

Went on a bit of a run after that, but it all went crashing down after Lockyer did his ACL and a bunch of other injuries.

ACL against NQ? Up at Dairy Farmers.

I think you were starting to find your feet end of year from memory.

Also lost the WCC as well. 😬

It was surreal. The game was wrapped up, Hodges was looking to set a club record only for Jennings to swoop and all of a sudden it was game on.

The rest they say is history.

A few weeks later, the Rabbitohs nearly did the same thing to the Broncos only for Sutton to dislocate his shoulder while he was attempting to ground the ball.

07 was a strange year in general. There was five wins between the top four and the wooden spoon. Sydney were anchored on the bottom of the ladder for the majority of the year and Freddy almost steered them into the finals.

Cooked, absolutely cooked.

Worst of all? Penrith got the spoon.

We employed Matt Elliott out of nowhere. Released Craig Gower to French rugby and let Peter Wallace go to Brisbane...massive issues in the halves for the next year.

Luke Walsh used to cop it but when he came to the club the difference was night and day. We needed a 7 desperately.

Matty Johns getting stuck into Brisbane on his show about the handling of Tallis, the build up for the Titans game will be an all-timer, the game will actually suck though. Titans are a bore to watch.
