Match Discussion: Round 18 vs Melbourne @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield / Wanngal

100%. 1.78 for a winger unless he’s the fastest, safest winger in the comp, nah, don’t think so. For me it’s Lobb 1.96 and Naden 1.89 over the summer with nothing but sprint training and time spent with GWS to learn the in and outs of leaping, leaping and retaining possession etc. Turuva...

Match Discussion: Round 18 vs Melbourne @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield / Wanngal

well I’m happy with the effort considering last weeks effort and the fact that they were playing the team leading the comp. Still a work in progress for many but plenty to like about many going forward. Issue is brain fades, lack of genuine speed out wide and consistency. Worst attack and...

Match Discussion: Round 18 vs Melbourne @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield / Wanngal

Remember when the Tigers always played very well against the Storm? Well they haven't defeated the Storm since 2018 when they did it twice. Perhaps it's time.

Match Discussion: Round 17 vs Sydney @ Allianz Stadium, Moore Park / Gadigal

So Stefano wants to see 'what's out there'. Let's see him put in a big one 1st. Collins will be up for a big game after SOO, Stefano, forget JWH, Collins is your challenge. I'd have Klemmer on the bench to 'protect' the young forwards from JWH, when JWH heads towards the sideline, Klemmer does...

Match Discussion: Round 16 vs Canberra @ Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Leumeah / Dharawal

Agree and didn’t someone say recently that they should sign him next year as a NSW Cup player? It would be a good plan, ½ a game at 6 to mentor the 7 and ½ at 7 to mentor the 6 and every 3rd game off.

Match Discussion: Round 16 vs Canberra @ Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Leumeah / Dharawal

Please remind me when he “put in a big hit” other than a shoulder charge when playing fullback, a shoulder charge doesn’t count as it leaves the team a player down. Please remind me when was the last time that he was “really good” because I’ve seen okay, I’ve seen good but I think really good...

Optimism now shot with the replacement centre.

Which makes him an ideal fit for the other Concord based team, the West Harbour Pirates !! especially as you didn't mention that his defence is, or was woeful.

Assume both Sezer & Olam have a good record at Leumeah as well.

Match Discussion: Round 16 vs Canberra @ Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Leumeah / Dharawal

Hopefully the young guys have some fond memories of playing well and more importantly winning games at Campbelltown from their junior rep games, because it's one ell of a gloomy and demoralizing picture that has been painted on the NRL site. Wests Tigers have not defeated the Raiders at...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

news.com.au, daily mail, smh, etc etc, they are all the same. It’s called distorted media reality. Negative incidents get clicks, which is how most media outlets pay the bills these days, from high volume clicks. It doesn’t reflect the reality however, in that news can be both good & bad news...

Seyfarth’s runs and tackles impressed me.

I wrote previously that Benji should start throwing quote of Marcus Aurelius at these journalists who wouldn’t know the arse from the elbow. “The opinion of 10,000 people is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.”

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Sheens tried to turn him into his utility player, too slow for the backs not good enough for the forwards. Played better when he had the Willie Mason fro.

Well he's motivated I hope his knees hold out and he can concentrate on his speed (we need a motivated centre). Cannot see him playing anywhere else though. Wears his heart on his sleeve though and combined with his motivation he just may finally come good. But would shock me.

Must say, I do like this from Adam Doueihi. https://www.nine.com.au/sport/nrl/news-2024-adam-doueihi-wests-tigers-knee-acl-injury-return-training-benji-marshall-20240611-p5jl1w.html Adam Doueihi is pulling no punches ahead of his return from injury, claiming some of his Wests Tigers teammates...
