    2024 Crowd Watch

When AAMI Park was built, to their credit, the Victorian Government spent the money to build the foundations of the ground so it could be expanded to 50K without needing a whole tear down & rebuild. That said, even though the ground could be expanded, it would be a hard business case to justify...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Impressive results, especially considering this season was affected by bad weather a lot more than 2023. Fair to say Broncos would have averaged over 40K had not over half their games being rain affected. Newcastle possibly would have finished at least 3rd on the crowd averages, with wet...

    2024 National Team jerseys

Australia jersey. Main change for 2024 is the Kangaroos will have the same Indigenous insignia on the back of the kit that the Jillaroos had last year.

    2024 National Team jerseys

England have continued their trend of having a new jersey for every opponent, releasing a kit for this year's Test Series against Samoa. Men's, Women's & Wheelchair will all wear the same jersey.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Yeah Level 4 in the TV arc & the away GA bays are less filled than what they were for the Manly game. A lot more Accor Stadium members on the other side than the Manly game & the back of the GA bays look fuller, which may push it closer to 32K-33K. Still great crowd. Accor actually looks good...

    2024 Crowd Watch

COVID has helped a lot of sports enjoy sudden growth, however we've definitely been fortunate to have a few other factors at play which have also helped pull up the average. The first is new venues. Townsville, Parramatta & Moore Park all opening recently has helped the Cowboys, Eels &...

    2024 Crowd Watch

For the other games: Panthers v Titans : Southern Hill is now sold out, so only the non-alcohol part of the Northern Hill is left. Match would have less than 1,500 tickets now. Dragons v Raiders : Gold & Silver is pretty much sold out (with exception of 10 seats). For Bronze, 9 of the 16...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Vegas ticket sales update. Second tier is pretty much sold out, additional sections have been released in the corners of the lower bowl and the back sections of some of the bays on level 3 have also been put on sale. Definitely trending significantly better than last year's Vegas match.

I forgot about their version of it, although they didn't play for the cup this year, so who knows if it is still going. (There was no presentation, no reference to it pre-match, post-match, etc, no offers to any emergency services personnel, they didn't even present the trophy post match. The...

    2024 Crowd Watch

The agreement between Venues NSW, NSW Government, NRL and Roosters is for the match to be the first Sunday in September, and I'm pretty sure there is at least a minimum 3 year commit on it (or could be 5). Concept is great, Police maybe polarising to some groups, but generally Ambulance, Fire...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Bulldogs v Cowboys now selling into 403 & 411. Match is showing signs of another 30K+ crowd. Gold & Silver bays down to single seats at Kogarah.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Great to see we smashed the record. I don't know how Allianz was only 22.8K today compared to some of the previous Roosters & Wallabies crowds at the venue. Regardless a great round with 7 games over 20K.

Feel it is a lot bigger than the Panthers & Manly games which were over 25K.

    2024 Crowd Watch

I'd say the only thing lacking is the broader strategy to support it. At the moment there is nothing guiding the clubs whether they should take games to bigger venues or out to small regional grounds or try to create blockbuster events, etc. If we're happy to solidify around the 20K - 25K mark...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Continued sell outs definitely make the business cases easier, but before then, the sport needs to work out what type of crowd average is the sport aiming for? Are we trying to be like the AFL & NFL and push our crowds to be as big as possible? Or are we going to settle on trying to average...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Perth will be fine. The capacity is already above the NRL average and there is a $300m upgrade of HBF Park on the table if the Bears get an NRL license, which would raise the capacity to 25K. PNG is a bigger threat to crowd averages than the Western Bears.
