    Our knowledge of the universe is based on what we can see. So if it is ONLY the 3rd dimension, why doesn't the 3rd D just dissipate and float away ? Perhaps other dimensions we don't know about, hold the 3rd D in place, to stop it from floating apart. Also most galaxies are spiral galaxies...
