    Well if worst comes to worst, and the labor idiots don’t build a new Sfs. It would be a great reason for the chooks to relocate to Adelaide or the central coast.

    I agree. That stadium over central would really be something else. If the trust can build apartments/high rises in replace of SFS, they would go for it. ANZ will eventually get a remake of some sort in the future.

    If labor win, I reckon they’ll offer a small interest loan. This will probably scale back the stadium, to a more reasonable cost. Then when labor get the boot at the next election. The libs will make a deal to keep the grand final in Sydney and pay the loan themselves.

    Abit of a Shower Thought. Say if the Comp did expand & Melbourne 2 was chosen as a new team. I wonder how a North Melbourne Bears side would go? Would the old north members support this?

    I do agree. But what’s the best option? 1. Put a club/s with history like Ipswich Jets or Redcliffe Dolphins. 2. Create some new brand that targets a bigger area.

    I do like the idea of either Ipswich jets or Redcliffe dolphins getting the nod(or both). But neither side will get a lot of support outside their demographic.

    I thought there where talks of a rectangular stadium as well. The Brisbane roar would move games there. It might have been something else. Either way it would be an ideal location, between Ipswich and south brissy.

    The crushers would be better then the bombers bid, which was getting around. What brissy needs is a south vs north rivalry. Broncos being north of the river. If the government ever ended building that stadium in Springfield. It would be the perfect base for a south/west side.

    Across the river is uptown Tville. Pubs, Clubs, the Cowboys Leagues club. It couldn’t be in a better position.
