    It's unfortunate Liddle didn't get to play much after being great early. We have specialist dummy-half who makes a difference around the ruck, and for some reason he gets replaced by a utility player, every game. I'd like to know the reasoning behind that.

    One of my mates got up left the ground with 20 mins to go. He simply said, "I've had enough of this." I don't blame him. We're talking about a fan that has been supporting for 40, 50 years or more and never walks out. Hard to be optimistic. Hook has to go.

    Yep, not a good day to watch them. And Newtown got up in the reserves. Terrible display in the firsts. The fans turned up, we deserve better.

    All his kids are St George supporters. Minns may be against major stadium development but has no opposition to suburban grounds being upgraded. There is a proposal to cover the northern stand and this may fit in with state funding.

    The major difference here is that the NRL nip this sort of crap in the bud. The AFL commentators referred to the Goodes racism as just "a bit of name calling"... they thought Goodes should harden up. The AFL admin allowed it to continue.... they later admitted they should have acted sooner...

    Bryan Fletcher was sacked and fined for that. He also showed a lot of remorse and afterwards assisted Dean Widders with his great work in the aboriginal community. [Source] That was in 2005. Unfortunately in 2023, there are still some people who are slow learners.
