    Poor Ben Hunt

So you believe the bs about $1.3 mil per year for 2 years? Not gonna happen

    Poor Ben Hunt

Dude you assumed I called Hunt an Origin level halfback, because you can't read. I never said that.

    Poor Ben Hunt

Pearce WAS an origin level halfback, Hunt is a current Origin level player and more than likely a current Australian rep level player at the end of this year. Makes our fans smell worse than Knights. Thanks for pointing that out. And our fans complain about lack of quality in our team and tell...

    Poor Ben Hunt

I am not arguing that, just stating that letting Pearce go may have been a part of their slide down the ladder this year.

    Poor Ben Hunt

Okay, so being selected for origin and playing origin does not make you an origin level player. Hmmm, makes sense to some I suppose. McCullough was, but not anymore as his career is winding down. Make sense to you? Probably not

    Poor Ben Hunt

The comparison is how the fans turned on him, such as fans here saying f*ck off Hunt etc, and how that turned out for them. Smells very similar.

    Poor Ben Hunt

You may need to read it again....I said Knights let their origin level halfback go. I did not call Hunt an Origin halfback. You added the word quality, not me. It matters not how he performed in the origin arena (Pearce), he was still an origin level halfback. And Knights still dropped to...

    Poor Ben Hunt

Are you doubting Pearce ever played Origin, or that our halfback ever played Origin?

    Poor Ben Hunt

This place is getting a Mitchell Pearce / Knights fan smell about it. Letting their Origin level half back go did wonders for them this year, didn't it.

Sullivan to half Amone to 5/8 Sloan to Fullback

As much as I think it would be a wrong move to let the current Dally M medal leader (ftr, I think he will not be the winner come season end) go, I would not offer him the same money he is on now for an extension. I would say around $700k-$800k per year for 2 years. If he decided to go elsewhere...

Sullivan to half Amone to 5/8 Sloan to Fullback

But the whole point argued by others was that these kids should not be playing reserve grade, but getting experience playing in firsts. I am all for the kids learning more in reserve grade, if they need it.

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

I'm sorry, I read that as "we don't keep ANY".

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

To be fair, most of those you listed as let go were let go during our darkest Mary days. And a couple who will still never make it to 1st grade elsewhere. And to say we don't keep any is also stretching the truth a bit. Did we not re sign or extend Ramsey, Lomax, Amone, Lawrie, Sullivan, Sloan...

Sullivan to half Amone to 5/8 Sloan to Fullback

Not all going to play 1st grade with Rav and Suli in the team, unless you intend to play a winger and centre in the forwards or bench.

Sullivan to half Amone to 5/8 Sloan to Fullback

The discussion was about not giving our current juniors a go, and which ones do people want to see in 1st grade now. Yes, buying them from another club is an easy fix, as long as they sign with us.

Sullivan to half Amone to 5/8 Sloan to Fullback

So, your preferred backline would be: 1. Ramsey 2. Matt F 3. Lomax 4. Max F 5. Sloan 6. Amone 7. Sully No room for Rav and Suli? Sorry, but can't see this backline being capable of competing for a couple of years yet. Would get absolutely flogged against most of todays teams.

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

Mbye did have a decent game at fullback last week. Can't deny that. But, yes, not the future. He was asked to do a job and he did it. As for McCullough, he knows he is near the end. Hook knows it too. Probably why the talk of retiring, or Super League. Also the fact that Dragons were in talks...

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

Don't like it. I am not defending Hook's team selections, across the board. Just that Mbye was the better selection as fill in fullback last week, instead of Sloan. Fill in, not first pick. I would've preferred Sloan given a shot on the wing over Moga, but I don't get a say in that. I would...

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

Why? I have already stated that I prefer a change of coach, that we can do better than Hook. But last week, and this week, and possibly the last 3 weeks of this season, Hook is our coach. He has a squad he has to use at the moment, and with Ramsey injured, the right call for the team was to...

    Round 22 vs Rickyless Raiders

Again, get your facts right please. Mbye was never first pick for fullback, not signed as a fullback. Ramsey is currently first pick for fullback. Mbye is a utility who was selected to fill in at fullback with Ramsey injured. I felt safer for the 54 minutes Mbye played fullback against the...
