    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

Still wouldn't account for the difference, the NRL had consolidated revenues of 350m last year, that included the knights & Titans.

which would put total annual revenue at somewhere around $530m, well short of $590m reported to be forecast, unless it includes club revenues, but then it would be a lot higher I would imagine.

No, they aren't. Polynesian players account for 37% of NRL players.

    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

The Sportsbet deal was included in last year's non broadcast revenue. The $590m revenue figure must be legit since it's reported across both news & Fairfax, and has probably come from the figures the NRL gave the rlpa. It's a hell of a lot of money to come seemingly from thin air.

That slimeball Massoud claimed as fact on the news that 1 in every 7 memberships are "freebies". Not sure how he could possibly know that, thinks his job is to find dirt on the game, probably just made it up.

    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

SMH reporting the same $590m revenue figure, which is a lot more than the broadcast deal, even allowing for non broadcast revenue increases. Wonder where all the extra cash is coming from? $1.8bn - $360m p.a $150m non broadcast revenue =$510m p.a. Leaving a difference of $80m a year before...

    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

Allowing for non broadcast revenue of about $150m, which would be in line with last year, $590m total revenue would suggest broadcast revenue of $440m p.a. or $2.2bn over 5 years? Where's the extra $200m coming from? As revealed in The Australian yesterday, the NRL tabled an offer that would...

    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

Clubs are now bitching about having to pay to support their own websites under the new digital network. They currently pay $130k p.a. and the NRL want them to pay $178k p.a. and they will also receive a share of ad revenue. Doing anything in the game is like pulling teeth, and it's because...

Can Kahu now be blamed for losing two games, after not kicking goal in time at Nines?

I honestly don't blame anyone for not wanting to go to this game, I wouldn't want to either. The game just asks too much of supporters, they should be making it as easy as possible to go to games. Instead we have games kicking off after 8pm on a Thursday night and price gouging them for their...

Let's see what clubs do when they get their additional funding, I remain skeptical anything will change, despite the tens of thousands of empty seats that could be made more accessible.

Lara Pitt really went at Greenberg last night, either she has an issue with him or she was overcompensating for the all female format and trying to show they are a serious show. The game has enough loud mouth negative journos.

it's $20m p.a. & with such little detail about it we don't really have a gauge to make a judgement on whether it's a good investment or not. The person responsible for it, Rebekah Horne, setup tenplay and has a pretty good reputation by the sounds of things. She wouldn't have gone to the NRL...
