    No doubt. He's a shoe-in now. He was the difference yesterday. Everytime we had the momentum, he would wrest it back from us with a game-breaking play. Usually with his running game, but he even came up with a great defensive play towards the end.

    The so-called most overrated coach ever has given highly touted rookie coaches Fitzgibbon and Demetriou an absolute bath over the last 2 weeks. Throw in Barrett before that, he pretty much ended his career.

    Highlight of the night was trying to recognize as many aging old boys as I could. I see Jimmy Veikoso even got an invite and he only played 4 FG games. Ruben still looks young and handsome tbh.

    Agreed. The failure to enforce that rule is a pet peeve of mine. This modern generation of players probably don't even know that rule exists.

    A good series but a lot of aussie players pulled out of that tour which was a bit disrespectful to the international game. Bennett got them back on board the following year. 03 was arguably Lockyer's finest hour (along with 06). He became captain on that tour and emerged as a good leader...

    Agreed. Also played for Australia in his first full season. Sure he never got back into the Kangaroos but he still done some good things in the game.

    Debuted round 1 97, didn't make it back to first grade until 2004. Weird career. Royston Lightning (top name) was another Raider who was tipped to do great things. Got too fat and never went anywhere.

    I remember seeing one interview with Matulino before the 2013 WC. He was asked about being on tour and basically said he just stays in his hotel room and plays Playstation the whole time. He also said I don't need to go out and look at historical buildings cos you can just see them on Google...
