    I had a designated attacker thread in the past. Similar to baseballs designated hitter. The designated attacker can sub out when the other team has the ball.

    Yep. With Joey they made him hooker (2001?) because he was also probably the best hooker in the game as well as the best half. Cleary would be nearly useless anywhere except halfback. Remember that next time anyone tries to say Cleary is better than Joey.

    Cleary’s origin record is 14 games: 7 wins and 7 losses. Moses origin career is : 4 games - 3 wins and 1 loss. also Cleary was the halfback in series when NSW were big favourites whereas Moses has amassed his record in lesser teams on paper. Cleary is a massively overrated player.

    I don’t know how many 6 agains there were last night but the one I remember was from that lovely 80s style bootlace tackle from Martin one on one which is now considered bad defense apparently. I just don’t get defense at all these days.

    Ryles needs to be recruiting Moses like he is a flight risk. I'd make him captain (is he already co-captain?). Ask if there are any players he wants us to try to sign from outside the club. Things of that nature. Best half since Kolc.

    Teams need to stop spending 90% of the time practicing defense. That results in horrific attacking skills as we are seeing.
