    2023-2028 next tv deal discussion

Just to be sure Wookie, your OK at $640m pa, just asking, because as you say we or I don't believe it.....Which will be brought out when we UNCOVER the true details. However in the broadcasting AFL, NRL race if your $640m pa stands up I am wrong, some how I think it's $500m pa with HUGE padding...

No they plan It's like that, check out how they make it confusing, the $473m p/a amount really is less $33m for contra and Telstra $50m because they ARE NOT A BROADCASTER so that leaves the $390m revenue from Broadcaster for the AFL. But you won't get them truthfully saying a revenue from...

Here is a credible account of the AFL 2023-2024 two year deal, taken from Big footy.. see below Notice the large Contra amount $66 million, which makes sense as the AFL wanted it to look good so as to swipe and snipe at the NRL... Also the Telstra $100 million is inflating 'the record ' amount...

It will be close to what the NRL and the AFL get from ALL broadcasters. So we ( NRL) calculate what we get from Nine(cash/contra, know as $130m pa, $32m from Sky NZ, and roughly $240+m from Foxtel/Kayo to equal over $400m per year. Notice Telstra 'sponsorship' should not be calculated in BOTH...

    The original 2017-22 deal was 7 Network $840m cash +$60m contra advertising Foxtel.... $1,168m cash + $140m contra advertising Telstra ..... $300m cash Cash $2,308m + $200m contra advertising = $2,508m

It was reported by Dill himself ( just after the signing) that in the 2017-2022 contract he admitted that $200m was contra in the 2.47b Six year agreement- them the facts. Seven was $60m so that would leave Foxtel with apox $140m.

So you ad So you admit the TV rights have gone through so many CEO's and then to blame Vlandy when his hands were tried by prior agreements. The reason why their is no announcement for the AFL is because the money and the the amount of games are tried together. I see Fox paying the same which...

Why would Tv (Seven) negotiations matter about Tassie, doesn't come under 5 city Metro ratings which Tv exec's treat as Gospel. Their must be trouble, as Foxtel can see Seven's plus streaming showing all games on now , in reality means Sevens has five/games. Foxtel won't pay any more than they...

No, Nine said 5 mill, prob, $2m Sky and 8- 10m Fox.. so around 12 to 15m but then again it will be nothing what the AFL announce, it will be huge contra to pad out biggest? deal ever in the world.. Notice paramount paid Billions for the Champion league this week, why don't the AFL accept the...

https://tvblackbox.com.au/page/2022/08/25/communications-minister-michelle-rowland-enters-afl-rights-negotiations-process/ So Seven will stand their ground- Foxtel won't up their bid. For example it's estimated that Foxtel payed $233 in the upcoming 23-24 side deal. AFL wi;ll be lucky to get...

V'landys talk about the game in any area other than Sydney? Weren't you complaining about Vlandy obsession about adding QLD teams, where a quote from Vlandy said something like this, we ( NRL) want to own QLD, how is that Sydney Centric. Anyway Vlandy talk of Sydney is comparable to the role...

Seven is at the top of the bid, say $160m cash with $20m contra. Which 'experts' said the AFL deal will be overflowing with contra, as in smoke and mirrors. Anyway the cash part is very important ,Seven has carefully crafted the top amount they are willing to pay. If the have to give way...

Heard anything about Telstra executives in the 'now' broadcast mediia negotiations. We have heard sources say this about Foxtel, ie want super Saturday and Seven saying they want streaming rights, but nothing about what Telstra (if any) are going to pay.
