First competition of the year. Where will we finish?

As we are playing for huge prizes, I don't care......and I don't think its an advantage if warriors are true to form which I hope they don't) because they are incredibly inconsistent and highly likely to get flogged by the Titans next week and be ods on for the spoon.

First competition of the year. Where will we finish?

This could easily be the closest NRL season of all time. Only the storm, cowboys and maybe the roosters are out in front. The rest of the teams have a bit of strength and fragility about them. How about the changes in 1/2s across the comp. Pearce, Moylan, Green, Cronk, Cartwright, Hunt, Foran...

    2018 Round 1 v Souths at Perth

I noticed in the trials that Kata actually passed the ball on one occasion which is probably more than all last season. Thats a big improvement.

RTS Off to Rugby (according to NZ National Radio)

Good timing on the announcement, before season kicks off. Watched the pre-season show on Sky and quite enjoyed it. Started to rise out of my morbid depression and get some hope.....

RTS Off to Rugby (according to NZ National Radio)

Agent denying it now. That usually means the deal is signed. The original report did say he was playing for the Blues, but surely they are at least as bad as the warriors.

RTS Off to Rugby (according to NZ National Radio)

It is no wonder the warriors struggle. The current captain would rather play in another sport. I suppose now Kearney has to immediately drop him as Captain. If I were running the show, I'd drop him from the team and put him in reserve grade for a year. Try and demonstrate there are penalties...

    The only way is up....

I have to say, that the majority of guys I hang around with who are leaguies, are almost all Warriors supporters. I'd have to say we were the seriously most miserable bunch last year. It was bad, the baddest bad in the whole ride since 1995. I pretty much thought I wouldn't even turn up this...

    Sam Kasiano Transformation

How can players go through carreers at other clubs and not be as fit as Melbourne? Surely everyone should be emulating them? Its obviously part of the formula.

    RLWC2017 Crowd Watch

Mate I was in NZ at the time. They were everywhere and if you went to the games (which all sold out) more than 50% of the crowds were Lions supporters. The packed out the bars, the streets everywhere. Don't believe me, 25K was the quoted figure...

    RLWC2017 Crowd Watch

Personally, I do not blame the ticket prices for the failure of the crowds to turn up. I blame apathy of the RLIF in properly prompting the games and the fact it was not in the interest of Channel 9 to promote during the season. I also believe the ridiculous miss placed hype about SOO kills the...

    RLWC2017 Crowd Watch

The Raa Raa boys charge $500 to $2000 for world cup final tickets, depending on the venue. Pure and simple, RL fans is Oz are deadset spoilt when it comes to prices and have no dedication to the live game. Its an undeniable fact.

    Blair’s reaction...

For a second I thought you meant the Auckland Rugby League. Which the NZRL effectively is already under the control of and they ignore the rest of the Country. Look the ARLC seems to spend too much money on adminstration and not enough on grassroots. League is struggling in NZ and needs...

    RLWC2017 Crowd Watch

Well just bought my 5 tickets for Wellington - PAX was 11898. Looking for a big walkup.

    RLWC2017 Crowd Watch

You can get a ticket for $25 and sit where you want. People are still not going because they aren't interested. The rugby biased media and NZ peoples prejudices are too ingrained. League is a mess in Wellington. Its been years in the making, but its about as low as it can get without disappearing.

    World Cup embarrassment

Absolutely agree. Firstly, RL can make whatever rules it likes. We have a problem in that we have one highly developed nation (Oz) and nobody can beat them, except every now and then. Like basketball. The Seppos are going to win no matter what. There is interest in second really. As for all the...

Jason Taumalolo opts to play for Tonga

Well players that could have played for NZ and went with Oz for SOO Brad Thorn, Karmichael Hunt, James Tamou, Josh Papalii. Thats 2 seconds of thought. To be fair, few went the other way, Foran, Cayless Brothers, Fien, Nightingale.

    Australia got ALL the calls

Every single 50/50 or even 70/30 call went Australias way tonight. Why is that? Just like the All Blacks in the other code. They get all the calls. England can consider themselves ripped off. One or two of those calls go their way and it could have been a different result. Cracking game by the...

    Taumalolo To Play For Tonga

No. Just no. Standing these guys down was the ONLY decision Kidwell could make. For his credibility, the credibility of the NZRL or the credibility of the sport. They need to impose these standards and keep imposing these standards and eventually, people will understand. Bromich and Proctor are...
