    Cricket in Queensland don't require a big stadium for one test and a handful of BBL. End of life Gabba can easily be downsized to a more boutique size. If the QSAC was to have modern stands, then to offered to the AFL after 2032, would that work in the Lions favour?

    Not in oversized athletics stadiums no, stadium Australia didn't deliver any benefits to attendances in Sydney. Now Accor and the new Parramatta stadium have, as has new, purpose built stadiums in Melbourne (AAMI vs Olympic Park) and Townsville.

    Super Rugby was most successful when it had 12 teams. It's expansion into Japan and Argentina was part of its demise. No one looks at their expansion S15 (rebels) onwards as a success. The latter made 2 pools, and a view South Africa no longer required Oz/NZ... which they promptly took up.
