    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

Yeah I think alot of the time he misses tackles on his line because he's slightly out of position and has to take a bad angle. If you watch Clifford play alongside Drinkwater it somewhat surprisingly worked.

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

To be fair to Pearce most of his kicking mishaps have been him kicking it dead in goals or straight into the legs of an opponent, that was something a little bit different today. Even though Pearce **** the bed I thought Clifford handled himself very well for someone playing their 1st finals...

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

But Pearce didn't have to pull a win out of the hat, all he needed to do was not pull out Suncorp state of origin Pearce to give us the best possible shot of winning the game. I mean if you're that offended by me implying it was an evenly contested game then i can't help you mate

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

To be fair Klemmer's signing wasn't a bad signing at the time, what's probably made it a bad signing is the NRL changing the rules overnight which significantly lessens the value of players like Klemmer.

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

I think you're taking a very micro view at it where as I'm taking more of a macro view. Yes they were the better overall team but id argue so we're Cronulla when we beat them 3 weeks back, when I say even I mean in terms of how tight the scoreline was. As you mentioned in another thread we...

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

Obviously their forwards got the better of ours, I've acknowledged that several times and there are many issues that need to be sorted in the off season but put it this way if Pearce doesn't completely **** the bed I think we go very close to winning that game even if we didn't deserve to.

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

Yep I thought Klem was good considering he would've been significantly hampered by that rib injury, just wish we'd stop giving the ball for settlers when in good field position

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

I thought Hunt was quite good in yardage and had a few offloads too, I think that's an area where Gags will really come in handy and I'd like to see Tuala just put on 4 or 5kg in the off season and play at around that 100kg mark. I think one bit issue is how one out we play, it just allows...

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

I'm not going to pretend to know what the solution is but moving forward Pearce isn't it. It feels abit like staying in a bad marriage for the sake of not wanting to be single

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

Yes they killed us in the forwards no doubt but I thought we really competed and the long kicking game of Clifford was enough of an equaliser that the game was right in the balance. The thing is a few of the errors from Pearce were absolute momentum killers as well, dropping the ball cold from...

    Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

Absolutely **** the bed today, the teams were fairly even but the difference is their Mitchell who's a noted finals passenger turned up where as our Mitchell put in one of his infamous origin performances. I know we're a better team with him than without him but we won't go close to challenging...

That all started from a very, very piss poor last tackle kick from Pearce.

Pearce has been very, very poor

Thank God the bunker is there to pull up Klein's blatant bias

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

For what it's worth they've been the better team by far, Klein is doing his best to make this a blow out

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

The set of 6 where Ponga and Tuala combined to make a break sums up where our attack is going wrong, 10m out, opposition on the back foot and we throw 2 settlers which allows the defence to reset

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

Exactly right re Pearce, his mobility and quickness is so diminished that him defending 3 in is almost like having a 130kg prop min7s the size, strength and physicality defend in that spot. If we were still in the unlimited interchange era you'd almost sub him off every defensive set like what...

Match Discussion: Finals Week 1 vs Parramatta @ Browne Park

Well he gave them a needless 6 again which resulted in the 1st try which was scores by his direct opponent, he almost got the Hymel Hunt try disallowed by running the wrong line and has been belted every single run so about a standard game for him really
