Match Discussion: Round 24 vs Gold Coast @ Sunshine Coast Stadium

I fear that Fifita is ready for some good old flat track bullying now

Match Discussion: Round 24 vs Gold Coast @ Sunshine Coast Stadium

What on earth was Tuala doing there, he jammed up then decided he wanted no part of Fifita but back to back play the ball errors, that's what we deserve

Match Discussion: Round 24 vs Gold Coast @ Sunshine Coast Stadium

It's so weird how we use our players, we give Mann all the good quality ball as if he's Greg Inglis, we go to Barnett 99.5% of the time on the crash play as if he's SBW and we throw crash ball on the line to Conor Watson as if he's Nelson Asofa Solomona

Space out the back before but for the 1000000th time this season we hit the backrower on the crash ball instead

Home sick. He was rated comfortably ahead of Brodie Jones at the time

Wow getting stepped out of his boots by a backrower, that's a new low for the Mann who knows all about lows

    Rumoured Targets 3

I'm actually curious how they fit Townsend, Dearden and Drinkwater in the team, Townsend signed for big money, I believe Dearden didn't come cheap either and Drinkwater re-signed at a time when his value was probably at its peak

    Rumoured Targets 3

Whilst I don't think Pearce brings great halfback attributes he most certainly brings on field leadership, a tonne of experience and effort upon effort. In terms of halfbacks there's clearly a top tier with guys like Cleary, Hughes and DCE with Reynolds just below them, after that you have guys...

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

Based on last night's performance yes but it seems against the bottom teams we usually do just enough to win

Are we playing finals in 2021?

We have a genuine strike weapon in Best that we absolutely refuse to give any ball to, instead we have Pearce taking 20 runs inside the red zone and not breaking a single tackle

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

They had 35 hit ups between them which is great, what's not great is I reckon 25 of those hit ups came inside the opposition 30m line. I can't fault them for the enthusiasm, it's on the coaching staff and the halves/hooker to not give them so much ball in good attacking positions

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

I'm not saying he had a great game and his defensive work leaves alot to be desired but as I said at least 3 occasions he had to surrender due to the decoy over running it, 80% of the time on 4th tackle we go the one out hit up. Obviously Ponga needs to lift but the coaching really isn't doing...

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

We can blame Ponga all we want back he's simply not getting the ball in any situation where he can take advantage of anything, there were at least 3 occasions where he got the ball 4th man in, was looking to do something and the decoy completely over runs the play and he has to surrender

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

We honestly did everything we could to lose that one, looking across the park I could probably only find 2 or 3 players who'd score above a 6/10 however the far greater concern is the coaching in attack, the attack was insipid, arguably the worst it's looked all year

Jacob really has had a shocker today

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

That's one is all on Pearce, gave away 2 idiotic late tackle inside the 10 set restarts

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

Pretty much the only way we'd score, the attack has honestly never looked so disjointed

Make that 2 full sets of 6 on the goal line and the backs didn't even get a touch, win lose or draw this is possibly our worst attacking performance this year

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Canterbury @ Cbus Super Stadium

Full set of 6 on the goal line and no outside back even touches the ball

100%, maybe in the minds of the coaching staff Barnett is prime SBW and Jones is prime Ali Lauatiiti
