    Stadium Australia was already lined up for a rebuild recently so it’s not entirely out of sight out of mind, just on pause for now. Putting a roof on it in its current configuration would be a disaster for a rebuild though so hopefully that idea is well and truely dead.

    Even then, they made a bit of noise about Cronulla of all places, other than that I can’t remember them pushing for stadiums much at all recently. Brisbane/Queensland Olympics funding, Auckland, Canberra etc could do with some pressure from the NRL.
