    I don't know why these short dropouts and fancy dropouts have crept into the game. Just boot the ball down field as far as you can. As good as Cleary was, Reynolds was poor. Trying all these fancy dropouts cost Brisbane the match in my opinion.

    It's just stupid to punish a player by making him wrestle everyone in the team. If for nothing else, it's time consuming and cuts into whatever they were supposed to be doing. You just pull him aside and tell him it's not acceptable to be late. If he does it again then just stand him down.

    You've got to look at intent, which is hard to prove, but you can feel it and so can referees. Two players can swear around the referee but one is just frustrated and the other one has violent intent. There will be a different punishment.
