    I’m sure Melbourne appreciated being shown live in the BBC, on German free to air TV, in France and elsewhere. I just read an article about the match in a major New York publication. Once again Melbourne is mentioned. This is repeated in publications all around the world.

    Today my wife asked a Raiders season ticket holder of more than ten years if he was going to France v Lebanon on Sunday. He didn’t know it was on. I suspect many who watched the game tonight now realise what’s happening.

    There will probably also be 1000s outside. This is huge for PNG. The teams will probably require the full motorcade treatment to get to the stadium. It will be insane.... a fun type of insane. The players from the northern hemisphere who know very little about that part of the world are in...

    Canberras first game is a real mystery. I have no idea how many will attend. It could be anything from 5k to 15k. I bought early and could have saved money buying later with some of the deals available.
