    It's all moot but the selectors still had a decision Wade vs Head and went with Wade and have now gone the other way. Since then Wade has been average and Head has had no opportunity to earn his spot back and he was in no better form than Wade. To me neither of them have really earned the spot...

    SA pitches usually more conducive to pace than spin. Wade probably in front against pace. Head got dropped against India who definitely have better spinners than SA. Labs is probably a better spin option too. I question what Head has done to be back in the side, regardless of opinion of the...

    Tim Paine must not be dropped but we also cannot underestimate how hard it is to keep and to captain....so make it easier for him, keep him as keeper and C someone else??

    I did think Wade deserved to not be in the side but he should be ahead of Harris in the pecking order and also Head. What has Head done to all of a sudden jump Wade?

    I think your point says it all. If someone else gets the captaincy, Paine is gone. Pretty much the only reason he is in the side, yet he is an average captain.

    Smith was ok, tbh the leadership issues were from CA down, Smith himself was a young captain. The way he and Warner handled the CA player pay issue was great despite being slammed in the media.

    Starc I'd send over but I'd firmly put him in the horses for courses basket. Unless the pitch is either green or very fast, or it's a D/N match don't pick him, his bowling doesn't suit.

    Best thing in his test was Cummins and Haze with the new ball. This is the way forward. I'd be adding Pattinson and him vs Starc for the last pace spot leaning toward Pattinson. Swepson must tour as well.

    That was two years ago. Inglis has two FC hundreds this season and Carey would also be a shot. Not sure of Phillipe keeping in a test.

    Warner was underdone definitely, at home he is still a must until someone takes the spot imo. The issues go beyond the team imo. Paine looks like he has had his run, he was the captain we needed at the time but it's time to start looking to the future. Josh Inglis or Alex Carey are good...

    It comes back to poor captaincy and lack of building pressure. We need an aggressive captain. Only guy who could do it is Smith but they won't go back to him.

    Apart from the 36 in Adelaide we have looked the worse of the two teams. Sydney we were saved by the draw but not this time. India far more professional.
