    Apparently that was a factor in deciding to start Val Holmes at fullback and AJ Brimson coming off the bench as utility. Brimson hasn't even been training with the team and is racing around the clock to be fit for the opener. Kyle Feldt will make his debut for Queensland on the wing.

    Interestingly its been reported in the Dailey Telegraph Sharks plan to use Nicho Hynes at five-eight and partner him in the halves with Matt Moylan next year. Moylan is in negotiations for a one year extension with Shaun Johnson likely to depart. It's been rumored Johnson may go to rugby.

    I thought Joe Ofahengaue was a bit surprise to be selected too. Admittedly I haven't watched the Tigers religiously but I would have thought he would have been thrown to scrap heap considering the Tigers up and down form. Ofahengaue has admitted he was surprised to be selected as well.

    Thanks for your perspective. Interesting to hear. I know Dufty has been criticized in the past for a lack of a passing game for a fullback. But the games I have watched this year, I think may rectified that.

    Its been confirmed that Kalyn Ponga has been ruled out for state of origin 1. But it may not be Aj Brimson going to fullback as there is the possibility of moving Valentine Holmes to fullback with Kyle Feldt coming into the side on the wing which I think would be a mistake,

    Anyone think this may be a personal audition for Matt Dufty for the Broncos since they missed out on Nicho Hynes? I actually am a big fan of Dufty, but admittedly I don't watch him week in and week out. So Dragons fans probably will advise why the Dragons have told him to look else where.

    I'm calling it the Cowboys are a better chance making the finals this year then the Titans. I wouldn't have thought that at the start of the season. The Titans defense is soft in the middle but the right hand side of the defense looks vulnerable every time the Sharks head that way.
