    For all the complaints on Jason Taylor he did lead South's to their first finals appearance in 17 years. The record he had at South's isn't great, but it's certainly better then other coaches they had (Craig Coleman, Paul Langmack etc).

    Fair point I generally still think it's wiser to go to the experience route but there are exceptions to the rule. Also logical choices don't always pan out. Paul Sironen was made captain of the Tigers after six rounds decided it wasn't for him and quit.
