    I don’t know whether Pearce leaving where we obviously have a few options on how we replace him leads to “peaking” and a “rebuild”. If Pearce hangs around - fine. He’s taken a pay cut, he’s done us a favour. There is a feeling though we are treading water for a year before Ponga goes to 6 though…

    I’ve been as big a fan of Mitch as anyone, and he has been a great signing when we needed him most, but it’s run it’s course. We need to expedite Ponga/Clifford next year. Pearce will get an offer from the Raiders or someone - maybe even take off to France. We shouldn’t hold him back.

    If Pearce gets an offer which includes next year, we should let him go. We BADLY need a half that can run. Move Ponga into the halves, train Hodgson for the off-season to start at fullback.
