One of the biggest factors will be the mental game Parra are known for. When we play teams we 'should' beat we drop our level and put in a stinker yet the following week we compete against the best in the comp like we have against Penrith but then go on and stink it up against the Tigers. If Ryles can fix this mental lapse and get the team to perform at the same standard each week, top 8 should be a certainty.

all we've seen is a half strength team against a pretty ordinary Knights team, I'd like to see us at full strength against a team like Storm first up and then a few other games for a better sample size.

Its a bit hard to form an opinion on what we've seen so far.

Given the improved attitudes and squad depth - and some fresh tactics - we'll probably finish somewhere between 6 and 10... hopefully in the top 8.

From there you just have to string two wins in a row to be in the final four - something they only managed once in 11 years under the previous regime - but anything seems possible now.

If it happened once it was possible before as well.

Yeah unless there is some 18 year old Brad Fittler type wunderkind on the way up that we don’t know about then it is way off the radar. Rebuild some character and aim up for 26 I say.

Moses either missing a lot of the season or being nursed all season is a pretty good reason we're not going to challenge.

The fact that we're $40 to win the comp and $12 to win the Spoon says exactly where we're at.

To be honest that $12 will only shorten from here.

I gave up on our season after 3 rounds last year. It's difficult to get inspired by the squad we've got and we haven't even played a game.

If we make the Top 8 with this mob, Ryles will be coach of the decade.
