    Because Foxtel needs some exclusivity over games. Otherwise almost all games would be on FTA and nobody would pay for Fox. Your arguments are getting more and more ridiculous.

    Rubbish. It shows they cater for fans in local markets by allowing all non-Victorian teams access to watch every game on FTA. The NRL would be wise to do the same for Perth Bears and the Storm.

    Incorrect. It was impossible for people to watch both games on FTA as the day game was on in VIC/NSW/QLD only and the night game SA/WA only.

    The AFL had a day game which aired in 3 markets and a night game which aired in 2 markets. As much as you love to derive a perverse sense of joy from seeing AFL fail, any comparisons are meaningless in this case.

    The Friday night game only aired in two markets on FTA. It's a bit hard to compare it to a weekly average for the slot.

    There is no AFL on national FTA tonight due to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. NSW got the North Melbourne v Carlton match on 7mate at 3pm instead.

    They did for one season in 2002. Every game was aired live on Nine Melbourne and the Storm played all home and away games in the Saturday 3pm timeslot. The arrangement ended after one season.

    Why not? Hitting ~90% capacity at least a couple of times a year should be the aim shouldn't it? The NRL just need to market the games better.

    Any Thursday or Friday night game is on the main channel. Saturday depends on timeslot.

    Only if they play the Ch9 game on Sunday afternoon. Thursday and Friday night games can only be on 9GEM as they will clash with the 6pm News in Perth.

    The 6.30pm AEST starting time for the Lions game would be a factor as this game usually falls after Daylight Savings ends. It meant the start of the game clashed with 7 News in Brisbane, so the broadcast was bumped to 7mate.

    And? Dedicated fans will make the effort to attend games. Suncorp is obviously a more suitable facility if Dolphins are selling out all of their home games at Redcliffe. Save Redcliffe for pre-season trials.
