Finals Week Two: Bulldogs v Panthers

It’s like two different players. Moses Middling during season games and then Lord Leota the Tank with Eyes in finals time. Martin and Tago have also lifted their games. Are our boys now so used to winning they cruise all season because they are waiting for the proper stuff to start?

Just repeating what you have said. Garner is better than Martin, Kenny is a plodder. You have your view, I have mine, incoherent though they may be.

Look, I agree with everything you say except you place little to no value on Mitch’s defence or his leadership and his motor. Chins is the same, he loves all the flash, thinks Martin is useless and once described Kenny as a plodder. I am not saying I am right, it’s just my view but I place a...

Better than Mitch? Nah, Mitch is our pocket destroyer and owns the ruck. He is a big loss for them though, he was in good form.

Finals Week One: Warriors v Panthers

I think it makes perfect sense to have Garner on the bench. Let Sorro and Martin do the softening up and then bring Garner on when the game opens up. His speed and agility make a real difference then. I thought Henry and Smith were both immense tonight. But Moses, he is a beast. The tank with eyes.

Not happy with 38 tackles (proper tackles that hurt, not Yeo cuddles)and 1 miss, 103m and 52m post contact? You wanted some kicking as well?

    General Discussion Thread

I'll never understand this fascination with the brown and white. It was ugly then and its ugly now. The least popular jersey in the ARL even when we are a competitive finalist. It is history, let it reside in the memory along with mullets, flares, cork platform shoes, high waisted jeans...

Finals Week One: Warriors v Panthers

How good is Mitch Kenny? He goes off and it it all turned to custard. The defence was looser, although BS isn't a bad defender, but Kenny is an elite defender, probably the best dummy half defence wise in the NRL. As for the passing, I was in Pyrmont watching the game and I caught one of BS's...

I watched that game and thought the Storm have really regressed this year. The main attacking weapon is to kick it to a)Coates or b) Katoa. They were very one dimensional and when Grant comes back he better be the best thing since the invention of flushing toilets, or they will be out in two...

Cleary had shoulder surgery in the off season. He started the year unfit and with zero pre season. I saw him training in the gym at Xmas and he was pulling rubber bands to try and strengthen his shoulder. He couldn’t even lift weights. Anybody who has lifted weights will tell you, if you have...

Never mind that, the markers weren't square. Not even close.

    Round 24 v Melbourne

Victor Radley said hi. He is just having a beer with Cameron Murray and Ruben Cotter.

Going to Canberra week one, backs against wall, a hostile crowd baying for blood and the media backing the Raiders and rubbishing us all week. Kenny, Martin, Yeo, Edwards, To'o and Leota will be getting slightly aroused just at the thought of it. Those conditions are exactly what our boys live...

Irregardless of whether it's a softer competition this year (for the record I don't agree with this proposition), teams moving from last to fourth doesn't happen very often making it quite praiseworthy. But context is everything and when you consider that a four-time premiership winning 5/8 and...

    Rd.23 v Knights

This is a tricky game. The torn up ground will nullify any advantage our forward pack has. The Knights fans will be baying for our blood after "Coachgate" and their team will be pumped up after the week off.

    Rd.21 v Tigers

A game of deja vu. It was like watching the Panthers of the last four seasons. Relentless defence, energy for the full 80 minutes and playing comfortably within themselves. A couple of points: - Dylan Edwards was superb with 322m. That said, he probably jogged home after the game to get a...

    Lower Grades 2025

Jamie Oljenik, Greg Waddell, Harry Sjeika. Feel free to add to what would be a lengthy list. It is sad to see and why you should never “big them up” too much and pay too much. Anything can happen, sometime in a positive way. My nephew played with Brian To’o when he was kid and said he was very...

    Rd.21 v Tigers

Liam Henry has played 41 games. He is a second year rookie and still learning his trade. He has the desire, mongrel and ability to be a great front rower for us. He will get better with experience. Leota was a penalty/error machine early on as well. I think he will develop nicely to replace...
