    Gags has always been able to bust tackles. If there’s questions about him, it’s about his speed in defence, and a few too many errors. I love Gags. I’d be happy to have him play on for us for another year if he thinks he’s up to it still, for the right price.

    We saw at the back end of ‘23 what the players were capable of attacking wise, but O’brien tied their hands and doubled down on completions and defence. That only gets you so far. You can only be on the back foot for so long every week before you stop giving 100%, and it’s amazing how much...

    Bradman Best received moderate groin strain, expected return to play is 4 weeks. Best has been quiet in attack, not getting a lot of ball, but solid in defence and effort areas. We really are going through our top tier players aren’t we.
