    OT: Golden Point

Thought we got a few hard calls but the glaring error everyone is talking about was correct from my understanding of the rules. The players were infront of the kicker and within the 10 metres of the man catching the ball. My understanding is that they need to retire 10 metres before getting...

    Sticky slams Refs

The boys tried hard but defence wasn't good enough to win. The refereeing was very poor though - the 10 was rubbish and the rucks ordinary - very frustrating to watch!!

What a joke ... Gallen not selected for Origin

God that's an ordinary team. Jamie Lyon is a great centre but isn't even good enough to play 5/8 for Manly when there number 1 5/8 is out. Timana Tahu has had a slow return to form from Rugby. jarryd Hayne can't get a game at fullback and Paul Gallen is watching from the sidelines. Many of the...

What changes to the team if any do you want to see next week?

I'd love to see Ferguson at fullback (he'd get a heap of space), Stapleton to the wing and Collis (if fit) in the centres. I'd also love to see Pommeroy playing at St George with Beau Scott (our other great former superstar)

    Player Ratings...if you dare!

I gotta agree on Goodwin Frenz - thought he looked pretty good and far more settled in 1st grade. Williams played pretty well in the centres considering he's a back rower - he was considerably better than our rep centre who played on the other side. I'm a huge fan of Covell but he is...

    Post match thoughts

Good post SS but have to make a couple of comments - it was packed but not unbearable - it's hard to tell capacity as when we posted the 22k's crowd no's made a difference to survival and comp make-up. Pressure for crowds was huge every week. I'm sure we use to add a few on (almost every club...

    How good was Hughes

It's the same rubbish that Pom has offered every week this season - but don't just blame Ricky - the City selectors thought he was travelling well enough to play rep footy - how bad must the other centres be going!!

    Here's where we went wrong...

You make a reasonable point - once the roll happened we couldn't stop it - and you may be right about most of the backline you mention (Pomeroy was terrible again with his errors matching the number made by the 'superstar" scott) but thought Goodwin played well when on - looked dangerous.

    Forward and sideways

I can't add up and know nothing about science but Soward threw it 3 yards forward. Jason Robinson hasn't picked up a forward pass for three years but was quick enough to pick up one of ours when we made a break. Not that it matters it just put us out of our misery earlier. Been saying it for...

    321 v penrith

3 Barrett 2 Toops 1 Gallen I thought Ferguson went pretty well - looked dangerous - he just needs to learn what a touchline looks like and he'll improve.

A different kind of dream. Crowley.

There are so many issues being discussed on this thread but here’s my 5 cents worth (sorry for the length of it). Obviously we are not playing well in 2009. We all expected big things after a successful 2008 but it hasn’t come into fruition. Even when playing well last year we were not an...

    I have questions.

Our financial problems have been ongoing for years with highs and many lows - whatever options we look at we need an aim towards long-term viability. The clubhouse in no Vegas of the south - it sits in the middle of nowhere for transport and rbt (although a wonderful introduction and much...

Tony Zappia on 1269 Talkin Sport today at 4.30pm

It's looking ugly gang - if the move doesn't happen 2010 may be unlikely. Everyone that can needs to be at the next home game and support!!

Whats your favourite Shark Park moment?

What a night - in the sheds afterwards I believe big Stevo almost let it slip that he and Paul had signed with the Sharks - he was in a daze and when he asked where he was, Paul said Shark Park, and big Jase treplied "That's right we play for them don't we". It might be urban myth but a beauty...

Bring on the Stain Trolls and Dave Q

Thanks Frenzy - would argue that AJ and Rufus join the bolded number. In the recent "Tosser of the Year" poll AJ pushed 11 Straight the whole way!!

Leader article 30/4/09 re club election

Even though a De La boy, think Paul has moved on from there. Paul is a terrific bloke, a very astute football brain and no dummy. He is also a listener and a bloke who will be very strong in his opinions. He would be an asset. I think both other guys are (or have been sponsors) so credit to...

    We are f**kin hopeless.

    Pommeroy

Understand Frenze - but jees I'd love to know how we spent our 3+ million - because in my mind there is the real question.
