    2023 Pacific Bowl

A question of wealth? PNG fans will be faced with the opportunity to attend 4 games (PM XIIII & Pacific Bowl) this autumn - it’s an incredibly poor country. You’d imagine the Fiji or Australia game will be most people’s top pick.

    RLWC Restructured For Better Contests

So teams make the World Cup just to play one game? I can’t see it unfortunately.

    Mid year tests in 2022

Y4: World Cup Pacific Cup Qualifier (pre-World Cup) (PNG vs Cook Islands) Euro Cup Qual (mid-season) (Serbia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain) Americas Cup Qualifiers (mid-season) (Canada, USA, Canada, Chile) MEA Cup Qualifiers (mid-season) (South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco) Y1: Euro...

    IRL NINE NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP

Some fair thinking. One element I don’t like however is that some teams would only get two fixtures across what would essentially be a 5 week tournament. How would they compensate for this?

    PNG HUNTERS 2022

https://emtv.com.pg/senior-players-clear-the-air/ Doesn’t paint Church in the best light. Some strong comments here.

    FRANCE 2025

I think you’ve misinterpreted that mate, the article says: So will France have to qualify? No. The IRL have told France they will be there automatically as hosts in all four tournaments.

Whats the news with the proposed Confederations Cup / Four Nations replacement tournament?

4Nations (World Cup SF’s) Federation Shield (World Cup QF’s) Year after a World Cup and the Year before (promotion and relegation between both)

    Random International News

The two game series against SA will be a good test for Kenya... I’m assuming the islands nations will be purely domestic players their end else you’re lacking at 100+ points easy.

2021 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

surely interest would build though if things were better organised, structured and promoted? Not disagreeing with you but just looking at the flip side

Umm... none of those words are Shaun Wanes!? I agree with Mr Carter nonetheless

    Mid-Season Window! (hurrah!)

Amazed nobody has posted about this yet. Fantastic news for the international game.

    Disappointing

interestingly I was at the same game, at Gala RUFC (Netherdale) and would’ve said it was a bit healthier than that - say 500-600 in attendance but won’t argue over that.

    Disappointing

being Welsh, having played both codes in Wales and being heavily involved in Wales Rugby League as an organisation I’d say that location and event are key to crowds in Wales. Cardiff is a key target area with a few quick wins with regard to drawing attention to a game (which hopefully will be...

    2021 RLWC draw

England’s back line is very powerful and skilful yes. Tom Johnstone and Tommy Makinson can finish for fun. Herbie Farnworth is in great form for an albeit dreadful Brisbane team. George Williams is in the form of his life. They’re a bit light at centre but still plenty of options

.USA PRO TEAMS, Which Cities would you place them?

Realistically (and even that’s wishful) I think North America could strive for the following... Toronto Ottawa New York Los Angeles Jacksonville Atlanta Philadelphia Chicago but again that’s some way off and it has to be slow, sustainable growth for now

    Revolution Rugby League - Alaska

Having spoken to them. it’s not an Alaska venture (though could be). They’re open to locations and are just an idea with a bit of backing and are open to venues and grounds all over the states becoming their home.
