Biden played rah rah at some stage. However in Ireland he made the fatal faux pas of confusing the All Blacks with the Black and Tans https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/13/white-house-corrects-black-and-tans-to-all-blacks-after-biden-gaffe To avoid any further confusion these are the...

Logan was a complete prick - the convicts eventually killed him but blamed the aborigines. He is the subject of the classic song “Moreton Bay” Like the Egyptians and ancient Hebrews We were oppressed under Logan's yoke 'Til a native black lying bare in ambush Did deal our tyrant with his mortal...

Today its a ringing endorsement for NRL expansion through the Country Bears https://www.smh.com.au/sport/why-the-bears-should-go-west-but-not-too-far-west-20240216-p5f5gw.html

Fitzy has given the greatest argument for not doing it. Coota for example has a population of 6000. Les Boyd is on the council (as a councillor not on the road gang) so at least he would turn up

Endorsed by Fitzy - it’s happening! calling them the “Bush Bears” and have them holding the torch for North Sydney while playing games at Inverell, Wagga Wagga, Cootamundra, Gosford and Mudgee? It’s a no-brainer. Each of those towns would build festivals around their match ever year, you would...

The real reason, other than the money, that half the NRL will end up in French RU is “trust me, I know, the life for a young man in France foot-loose and fancy free is fabulous” This may be true if you went to Knox college but does it have that much attraction for the average player?

I’ve got their juices flowing by mentioning the claimed 30000 registered AFL players in NZ. Question is to when to let the other boot drop - as there are only a maximum of 16 verifiable teams, this means there are 1,875 players per team. Lot of people on the bench, lot of oranges at quarter time.

Noted -that some are responding to you seriously says something about the intelligence of Bigfooty posters. I have relented and gone back there. Currently leading a discussion on whether Newcastle or Canberra should be next - probably time for a Kiwi to bring up the sport’s popularity in Auckland.
