I also think at club level, all of the support in NZ in funnelled into the Warriors. At international level it is split between NZ, Tonga and Samoa.

    2024 Crowd Watch

This sell-out, plus the fact that the Melbourne Anzac game will still draw well and the Storm having one additional marquee match (Warriors non Anzac game) means that it was the right call to split up the Storm v Warriors on Anzac Day. I wasn't a fan when I first heard the idea but I have to...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

What you say kind of has merit in the fact that the Warriors are basically a team representing the nation but get to do so 12 times a year at home instead of 6 and also provide national pride by beating Australian teams that we actually care about. I hate the idea of travelling roadshow teams...

    f**k that was awful

    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Why though? The investment is being made on the ones most likely to make it. The NRL spends enough on kids younger than that to capture enough to filter quality into the elite pathways.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Brisbane 2 Brisbane 2 would be a disaster for AFL. Their first club is still struggling for ratings and fans. They averaged 27k last year in a GF year and only a few short years before that were at the bottom of the table pulling 12k for some games.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

QSAC, not the Gabba is our athletics stadium. The way we are doing it will leave a legacy for athletics, not fumbleball. The IOC approve this approach.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Disingenuous and you know it. Firstly that's not the condition QSAC will be in come games time. It will look great. Secondly, QSAC isn't the centrepiece of the Brisbane games, Suncorp is and that is already world class and will look even better in 2032

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

It's obvious why.... Doesn't want investment into stadia that will benefit the NRL. Does want investment into stadia that will benefit AFL.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Different times. The IOC wants Brisbane to use existing stadiums, that is their directive. Secondly, Suncorp and QSAC will look amazing by the time the games roll around. This sort of negativity goes on in the lead up to every Olympics

    The Game 2024 Membership

Re: Dolphins taking a game to Perth. Yes, that's how I feel about Storm taking home games away from Melbourne (for very different reasons of course). We have one Melbourne team carving out a niche down there, I don't think it is wise to be taking games to Brisbane even though the Storm are...

    2024 Crowd Watch

The two tough things for the Storm in terms of moving up the ladder of attendance averages in Melbourne are: 1. the capacity of AAMI. It is obviously absolutely perfect for them at the moment and will be for years to come, but hopefully by the time the stadium is reaching the end of it's life...
