    2024 Crowd Watch

The corners still seem to have lots of seats available (up to 8 available). Especially the SW corner. Am I wrong in thinking the prices have jumped quite a bit since a couple of years back? $299 for Gold tickets seems exxy. I don't like the look of these sales, I reckon it will be the lowest...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Last time Sharks played Cows at Allianz in 2017 in Week 2 of the finals, the crowd was 16,115. Hopefully it is a lot more.

It looks about 37-38K but very hard to judge

    2024 Crowd Watch

Lowest crowd at AAMI since June last year. Rain seems to have kept a few away.

The Wahs won’t have this following much longer. They look like shot ducks.

While on the subject of perspective, here are the crowds from round 21 in 1984. Jul-21 Sat Cronulla 22 Penrith 22 Endeavour 4,095 Jul-22 Sun Canberra 8 Illawarra 14 Seiffert 3,465 Jul-22 Sun North Sydney 4 Manly 56 North Sydney 2,828 Jul-22 Sun Parramatta 3 St George 2 Belmore 13,108...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Kayo can't hold 14K. So although 14K in a 53K stadium looks bad it is still bigger than anything they can fit into Kayo (capacity 10K). Perspective is useful too though, 14K on a wet Thursday night is actually a good crowd compared to any other team bar Brisbane. Redcliffe also are only in...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Considering 17K show up at Campbelltown and people think it’s a huge crowd, then 18K at Suncorp v Newy aint too bad for Redcliffe.

17,714 was last night’s crowd at Allianz.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Perth Oval isn't too bad, it fits 20,500, has good corporate facilities and about 35% undercover, with the potential for bigger games to be held at the big round stadium. Compared to PNG bid, Perth is better: Moresby National Football Stadium - 14,800 (20% undercover) Barlow Park, Cairns -...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Perth's attendances have been great for Origins and the double headers held there. From a perspective of potential new team locations Perth has the best attendances by far for games played there compared to other potentials: 2023 Double Header: 45,814 2022 Origin: 59,358 2019 Origin: 59,721...

I’m going to guess 11K at Homebush for the Souths v Sharks game.

16K against Bulldogs at 6pm on a Friday was pretty solid. 2nd largest regular season home crowd for Melbourne against Canterbury ever. The largest was 17,248 last year in rd2 and that was Melbourne’s first home game for 2023 and was 7:30 on a Saturday.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Largest Parra home crowd against the Cowboys since 2006. Second largest home Parra crowd against the Cowboys ever. Parra coming off two losses. All that considered it’s a pretty good crowd.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Friday 6pm timeslot generally gets lower crowds than Friday 7:30pm games due to most people knocking off work around 5pm. Harder for a lot of fans to get to the game in the bigger cities at that time after work unless they work in the CBD and go straight to the game. A lot of the Storm’s fans...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Still seems to be lots of people coming in at WIN and the hill is packed. I will guess about 18-19K as there are still some patches of empty seats in the stands. I was there in 2018 when there was almost 19K. It looks pretty similar to that. If that stand in the NE corner was ever completely...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Good point, however the gap has actually closed further since those teams were introduced especially post Covid. From an AFL point of view they would have hoped this gap would start increasing again as GC and GWS grew in support, which seemed to happen a little as their average bouyed from 32K...

    2024 Crowd Watch

I imagine this table will look a bit different by mid season, however the NRL is definitely closing the gap on AFL. The difference in average attendances between AFL and NRL has improved steadily since the Super League war. In 1998 the average AFL crowd was 68.5% higher than the average NRL...

AAMI Park is looking like about 20K already sold, hopefully can nudge 25K or more for Storm v Warriors. https://premier.ticketek.com.au/events/STORM0224/venues/MRS/performances/ESTO0000024PB/tickets
