    Obviously a huge effort in defence today, but what I was happy with was Boyd's contribution from fullback in attack. He actually looks dangerous with ball in hand and if we are to go deep into this competition he will be the key.

    Slater was probably our best player, we weren't far away tonight. If DCE had 10 days training at half back we win that game. Only a bit of cohesion and structure finishing off sets cost us.

    Milford is an amazing player, but he should play for the Raiders. They have looked after him for a number of years and developed him into the player he is becoming. If the shoe was on the other foot ( like when we lost Hodgo to Roosters) I'd be pissed.

    Fact is it's not as easy for us as it once was, back in the day we had the pick of all the Queenslanders and that was fine. This was enough to build a top 4 team every year, nowadays we basically do the same thing but do it with the best players we can get that haven't been poached by Canberra...

    Would have him back in a second and he can play wherever he likes. From what I've heard he's quite small at the moment so perhaps his first season back he and Hoffman can switch between wing and fullback in games then we assess if he's better suited to fullback or the halves from there.

    Gillett is being over used, he's clearly a good player but his best games have always been from the bench, our rotation would be a lot stronger with McGuire and Hannant up front, Thaiday in the Backrow playing 40-50 minutes (not 70) and Gillett on the bench.
