Swans-Giants Battle of the Bridge contest to span the city

Is that a double negative? Aka gay homosexual? If so, I'm tipping a large number of Australians would argue your point.

Is this year a $hit year of quality football so far?

Any game involving st.george or Newcastle are generally crap. Bombs away!!!!!!! There needs to be a rule tweak to reduce the amount of tries from kicks, and return to teams running the ball.

The T.V Rights Thread Part III

Good in theory, but not probable. I think status quo, with more money is the odds on, unless 7 and 9 get into bed. SOO has highlighted one problem, the NRL through the rep period incurs a massive drop off, will SOO be simply used to offset this? Or will the NRL take a hit on the open market...

    Crowd Watch 2012

Maybe some of us have over inflated the popularity of some clubs? For instance, stating some fans don't travel, pretty much states that some clubs have few real week to week supporters, by and large, clubs shouldn't bank on away support in a national comp anyway.

Richardson calls for suburban footy to be axed

Nail and head with that last line. I never consider stadium prices, if I can't afford it I simply don't buy it, but not at the expence of attending.

The T.V Rights Thread Part III

Some of the worst media in recent times!!! Right now, everyone is running for cover on heresay and bullshit. In a couple of months the corks will be flying or they will be flying, needless to say, one network or another will continue to provide Friday night pictures of the NRL. How much, no...

SBS to ditch UCL for HAL?

I'm happy that things are looking up, soccer is desperate to gain a toe hole in the summer, and I think sbs are a great channel to do this through. Well done soccer, I'll be watching

Buderus says British game more exciting

I brought this up after 2 games this season, then, I was blasted as a troll, well up yours you know alls, you know who you are. The NRL need to sit down and fix the game, it's become a stagnant, 5 hit ups and kick to the corner mess. Fix it, and don't add any more stoppages!!!!!!

The T.V Rights Thread Part III

I think 9 will maintain the status quo for the next 5-6 years, you'd have to think it unlikely that they can lose it from here. I want to know, what damage will the titans do to early expansion plans? It will take a big plunge to fix that situation, and then reinforce consumer confidence.

    Good Aussie Sports Radio Station??

SEN is the only station I know of in the country that is 100% sports talk. Not sure why we don't have something similar here in Sydney.... Then again, it's about market share, and I don't think a RL based station would be viable.

iSelect Gold Coast Titans granted new license

How on earth can they be kept afloat? Even with a new television deal, the intrest on that kind of debt is untenable!!! The NRL/ARLC will most likely have to declare the franchise insolvent, then reopen the doors as a new trader the next day. Who were the boys claiming that Searle should...

Club Support - 4 Tiers of the NRL

If there continues to be a perceived big 3, under a floating fixture, where does that leave the rest?

The T.V Rights Thread Part III

The NRL have insured inflated ratings for this season. The problem being, can the broncos play every Friday night forever? Inside reports suggest that the networks are bargining an apparent $1b deal, but what's the cost to clubs like Canberra and the Riff? They don't see a great deal of...
