Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

They have 6.2 million Australian subscribers with prob a fair cross over with NRL fans already. Doubt it would be worth it to them. The NRL would need to handle production as well which would have to be factored into the deal. Amazon though are at 4.8 million and the NRL rights could edge them...

    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Nah. Roosters model recruits some of the best talent from matts/ball/flegg. They match this with bringing in elite first grader as neededs to nurture/mentor the youngsters through. If they are having to give up the kids to the draft at 18-20 whatever its ruins the whole thing. Draft is stupid...

Rugby Australia to target top NRL talent

Can't even enjoy the win without sperging about League. It's killing him inside.

    Rumoured Signings

Who has the cap space to offer him big money? I'd take him at the Raiders for two years as a hooker. Gives us a backup half for fog and options with Strange and Sanders as well.

    18th club, whose next?

Dude you literally say the clubs are greedy and are in the way of expansion all the time(which I actually agree with). Now it doesn't suit your agenda they're boy scouts.

Rugby Australia to target top NRL talent

He must be tired of seeing the world

    WA BEARS

It is quite funny. "The NRL has no idea compared to the AFL!" "Well we're moving a foundation club to an expansion area" "NO NO NO NO" lol

    WA BEARS

Okay Manly fan lol. How many times do you need to kill the bears to be satisfied?
  9. Chief_Chujo

    WA BEARS

Because the ARLC want a team in Perth. They won't be bullied into supporting a shonky bid though
  10. Chief_Chujo

    WA BEARS

Lol no. Vlandys said the bid fell short in a radio interview. The license fee came out in the media the following days

What, no? Go back and read what I was replying to.

    WA BEARS

What? Quoting directly to media isn't leaking lol

    WA BEARS

The other bids don't leak like a sieve. Another mark against Cummins.

I said it's questionable. Had they not been dominant for so long I wonder where they would be. Reminder they were a money sink propped up by the game for a long time, even with their success. Swans or Lions would be massively more successful with the same period of dominance.

    WA BEARS

Questionable. Have had a positive effect on ratings(in Vic) but they've been dominant for two decades. Now you're just getting technical lol
  16. Chief_Chujo

    WA BEARS

I'm sure people said the same with the Swans and Lions. Reality is, every expansion into dominant heartlands from both codes has failed, except for relocations.
  17. Chief_Chujo

    WA BEARS

Literally just asked for tenders for a relocation of the bears. Tenders were under NDA as well. So don't blame him for what you read in the media.
  18. Chief_Chujo

    WA BEARS

They were told a license fee would need to be paid during the tender process. Cummins was a genius and put zero thinking he had pulled a swifty. f**k he could have put $1mil or even $500k and they could be negotiating right now. Imagine the disrespect and arrogance, after you've been told that a...

He asked for expansion tenders and rejected one of them. How is that poorly thought out?
