Smith is injured until prob 4-8 round apparently, and Hayne and Inu are going to start in 3 and 4. The other winger will prob be Reddy but Tauai, Etu will push for a spot. Yes not great options, although one of the boys said they expected big things from Tauai (i think Inu said it)

Although i think Hayne and INU will do a great job in the centres, i still think their ability to leap for the high ball will be wasted in the centres. We know they can both leap, and they have both scored many tries from bombes whilst playing on the wing. Eric Grothe has a great high advantage over most wingers but half the time he is more worried about tackling the player instead of contesting the high ball. Joel Reddy is a safe winger but doesnt have the individual brilliance like Hayne or INU.

In my opinion Hayne should stay outside INU and keep Benny and Grothe on the other wing.

i reckon the minto boys would work wonders playing next to each other too

This all depends on Benny's form when he comes back. Last year he looked slow and lethargic.

t.smith will start 7 by watching parratv. He calls all the plays in training for the backs and the 2nd rowers along with finch. Mateo had an injured ankle and hasnt been training fully with the others.

Reddy has the pace and experience to play there. Don't discount Etu because no-one has talked him up, he would be a solid firstgrader and definately has size and power on his side.

Is Burt going to be ready Rd 1?
From what I hear he and ben have both not started full contact as yet.

He always looks good in PL and sh*t in first grade, hes a cat.

I have to relay disagree, he is aloth faster than he seams and has scored some relay good tries. He is solid under the high ball, and is a good kick returner. With the added bonus of being able to play anywhere form 1-6 in the backline, i don't mind him. He needs to work on his defence but thats relay it IMO.Hags doesn't have to many Coaches Pets, so if Reddy is in the team he deserves it.

I like to respectfull disagree with the last statement! If we're looking at our best defenders in the backline, it's Hayne 1, daylight second. There's no doubt he's our best option as a DEFENSIVE centre, not to mention the tantalising lines that he runs in attack and his high 'game IQ'. By mid season we'll be saying 'best centre in the comp?' and we won't be far off!

Agree about their aireal skills tho.. but we probably need at least Hayne in the centres!

I'm not convinced Reddy is 'safe' - he's 'safer' at fullback, but he seems so slow off the mark these days, and so awkward in defense all the time... Always a chance of being caught out of position, makes bad reads, and is very slow when the ball is slotted in behind him, or over him.

And caylo - I reckon that Reddy is probably there because we haven't got a better option at this stage!
You fellas who are suggesting that Reddy's form was 'good' last year have pretty damn low standards I'm afraid...

I don't think Reddy had the best year when he played first grade but he was seemed to get his form going later in the year in premier league. The thing about Reddy is he has lightning quick acceleration maybe faster than Burt but it is a mental thing on the wing. He took too long last year to make the right decision.

Reddy is rubbish - find another option. Hayne and Inu in the centres is crucial. At the end of the day, league is an attacking game these days and points will be scored. The idea is to score more than your opponents. Having Hayne and Inu in the centres gives attacking options on both sides..
