have you looked in the mirror lately. when you do does your mouth sit under your nose and come around the side a little - if he got hit with him looking sideways and head half turned don't you think he could still get hit in the mouth?

ypu poor excuse maker - if you had been the defence, the judiciary would have asked for another joke as they were rolling on the floor in stitches

Anasta should've been fined for abusing the referee and suspended for the grapple on Fa'alogo. *drops bait & runs*

Agreed. Man im just jumping out of my skin for this game. I'm a dead set sucker for punishment, as me and 2 other brave fools will be surrounded by over 50 Souths fans at my favourite drinking hole (we all agreed to watch it in comfort this year ... we sat thru the rain last year and it was a terrible game to watch) :) They're all pretty good people tho so it'll all be in good fun. I copped heaps in Round 1 last year ... my turn this year ... Roosters by 2 in a rip-snorter of a match.

Is Sammy Perret injured? I thought he would've been one of the first chosen.

Good side though and it should be interesting to see how Friday plays out.

We get the delayed telecast up in QLD..........Not happy

What do you expect them to do? Delay the QLD derby in QLD?

Mind you I can feel your sorrow however these are the sacrafices you make by moving up here.

Hope you're right OVP, Perret was without a doubt the most consistent back for the Roosters last year. His form for New Zealand was also nothing to snort at.

Fox should be allowed to broadcast the other game live. It'll never happen of course, ratings are everything for FTA stations, but it would be nice hey ?

plus also Fox would have to distinguish between Sydney and Brisbane matches ... meh too complicated but im sure if they really tried they could do it. Methinks they are just too damn lazy :) That FOX satellite can do some amazing things all around the world you know ... eg. EPL live in Australia and England, Bundesliga in Germany, Ice Hockey in Canada ... ALL LIVE. Lazy bastages could EASILY differentiate between Sydney and Brisbane ffs :)

The Roosters pack looks twice as strong as last year, but the halves and some of the backs look a bit suspect.

They havent played a lot of football as a squad and if they try too hard to be creative they may well be found out. I expect them to respect Souths defence and slog it out.

The rabbitoh forwards are much better prepared and the off-season program has been designed so they hit the ground running this week. They will be well-primed. It will be like two worlds colliding.

For the roosters to win, Shrekky and Myles must have a strong games.

For the bunnies, the forwards must weather the early storm to let Wing and the backs create second half havoc. Luke may be injected earlier to run the big Roosters about.

All eyes will be on Roy to see if he can redeem his quiet game againt the bulldogs last year. Kidwell will be toey after his long spell and understandably underdone finals appearance.

It will be interesting to see if Anasta returns to his spirited grappling self or otherwise tucks his head in. If he plays the fool again, Souths may not take the bait and the distraction might stay with him. He was coming good late last year but can he maintain the rage?

Souths present as the side with better preparation and combinations but if the Roosters forwards are on their game, they will push the rabbitohs.

The Roosters are favourites which is somewhat surprising. That suits Souths.

1, 7, 9 and 13 is where Souths will win the game. If they spend too much time focusing on Wing, Issac Luke and Eddie Paea will tear the Roosters a new a-hole. We also have two of the best ball-playing props in the competition (along with Cuthbertson). Bring it on!
