5 generations of inbreeding = East Coast Tiger

lol no name. A decision like that is pathetic. Was not forward and was a clear try. Would have won the match. Who else do I blame?

It is not as though I whinge about decisions every week. You sir are a tool!

Lol Dogaholic...

where are the abortion nay-sayers now?

You're an idiot mate... cut about the loss I'm sure but it was a blatant forward pass. Stop bitching and get over it. You're blind as a bat if you can't see it was forward. I don't need an idiotic commentator to tell me that a ball being further up the field than it was when it was passed is forward.

Enjoy the two points Titans, thoroughly deserved. Prince was great.

This is one of those games I believe "we should win". In continues the season trend, if we are to move from pretenders to contenders, we need to pick up these type of games.

I have followed the game for 20 odd years and one thing I know is this: Canterbury, not matter who is in the side, are a team you just hate playing when their backs are against the wall. They love it. That's my fear here.

Scott Prince missed selection and it will be interesting to see how he responds. He has two options:

1) Pout about it and play as Matt Bowen did a couple of seasons back and throw away his great start to the season or

2) Make a statement in this game and continue to pleas his case on the field in the event of another injury or loss of form from one of those ahead of him.

We welcome back Luke Bailey - a huge plus for us.

Scott Prince delivered after perhaps one of the bigger disappointments in his career this week in missing Origin selection. It showed a lot of character and the selectors are once again on notice. If we falter in game one, there will be a lot of noise about the non-selection of the game's form player by some.

As for my club, slowly but surely, we are getting to the contender bracket reserved for Melbourne and ... well ... I am not sure. Melbourne are the only team I see as a certain grand finalist. That's another thread though.

There is a bit of Melbourne 99 about us with a dash of Tigers 05 ... I ain't gonna' make some really stupid predictions like some from my team are making at other online outlets, though I think we answering a lot of questions right now.

Apart from the outstanding Prince peformance, it was most pleasing to see Bull Bailey back. We got the job done without him though he will only improve an already impressive team.

Try to quote the whole post next time. I withdrew my earlier comment. Grats on the win
I quoted your whole post.

The point I was making is some people who may not know the rules as well as others would prob be blowing up cos the commentators were.

Maybe - top of the ladder after 10 rounds is very good. But how many road wins you got so far? Also - it seems the Tits play every game at home thus far, I may be imagining it - but surely there must be a few more road games than home games to go? Either way - with Rogers back, Laffranchi back - Tits are up there with Storm, Roosters as the top 3 threats to this point. Broncos season rest on Lockyer - no Lockyer - they'll be also rans.

Forward pass calls have been getting worse and worse.

On the current standard the Dogs were a bit unlucky but current standard is poor and the refs got it right for a change.

How forward was the one Hindmarsh got away with recently?

The refs need a good kick in the arse.

shocking display by the refs but again it's the bulldogs 10-20 minute patches of absolute woefulness that are costing us games.

I thought the last pass looked flat but they didn't really show a good replay and you expect 50/50 calls to go the home teams way.

ffs get rid of holdsworth folkes, and maitua can piss off to souths too. Bring on Joe Williams he won't do any worse for us than Dropsworth does.

Ink - you are hardly a nuetral. Who are you trying to fool? You are about as neutral when it comes to the Dogs as that knob with Carl Webb as his avatar.

I saw it once and one replay. Looked line ball IMO. I'll end up watching it then. Might find that I was mistaken, might strengthen my opinion. meh

Either way, was actually an enjoyable game, despite all the errors we made. Came away from the game quite pleased. Robinson is a merkin, that cannot be helped.

Reckon we should chuck hickey in the backs :)

The forward pass call would have been fair... had the role of sideline officials been consistent at all in the last 10 years.

The fact a linesman had the gall to call a line-ball-at-best "forward" given their total lack of input in matches over the last 10 years or so is appalling at best.

That said, win some lose some... they gave it a go tonight and came within a dud call of beating one of the competition heavyweights. '08 isn't lost but I'm not expecting anything more than a bottom of the eight finish at best.

Regardless of all that crap I'm immensely proud of the 'Dogs for such a brilliant result. Losing to such a well-drilled team by only four points is a great result after that woeful display v Penrith. Just hoping we get more boys back on deck as the weeks go by. MNF v Cronulla @ home should be interesting.
