It would have been embarressing had the Dragons lost that one. I have one question to ask though. Was there anything in the Chambers tackle on Soward?? On ABC radio they said Soward was slipping into it, but Chambers was leading with an elbow.

Its not exactly unreasonable to point out that the week before origin could have been a reduced round instead of a full round. Common sense might have prevailed I would've thought. I think its great seeing the storm players rewarded as they deserve it, but the draw could've had reduced rounds before origin so teams wouldn't basically forfeit competition points with greatly weakened teams.
How do you get on the forum when your at the footy?
Now that's what I call living in the here and now.Storm v Dragons at Olympic Park later in the season will set the record straight.
His limitations in attack were made pretty clear. When the kicking to the corners wasn't on without the likes of Folau in the side, he really struggled to come up with any viable options, he missed Smith's leadership out there, no question about it.In Cronk's defence he had a lot on his shoulders and did well in a very inexperienced team.
The likes of Proctor, Anderson and Neilson will be better for the run and the next game without the SOO guys will be a lot closer.
I don't know why everyone keeps on going on about how the Dragons beat a side so much more inexperienced though. They were missing their 3 major backline players, and had the youngest backline out of the two sides.
There is no denying that the Storm fielded the more inexperienced side. I just think it's a bit unfair on the dragons side, who I think played a damn good game against a side who put up a pretty big fight when they too were missing some very major parts of their side.I'm not for a second taking anything away from the Dragons as they were far too good and played a very good game of football, especially Soward who had a ripper. But i think you'll find why people are saying that the Dragons beat a much more inexperienced side is because simply they did.
The Storm had 3 debutantes in the side and overall 8 players who'd played 10 first grade games or less (3 of those under 5 games) not to mention also having Sammy T (17 games) and Chambers (15 games) So that's 10 players all up with under 17 first grade games or less under their belts.
With those sorts of numbers you couldn't possibly have a problem understanding why people are saying the Storm were a much more inexperienced side could you? But again, we still fielded the same amount of players as them who were too good for us on the night and the better team won.
