That right there is some of the worst refereeing ive ever seen. To not call held after 10 seconds is ridiculous. Luckily it wouldnt have mattered.

Good win knights, wer'e done.

What about Buderus called held up after about 0.5 seconds in the first half?

Equally bad decision. But I was specifically pointing out the Gidley try that clearly should have been called held before it had gotten to 10 seconds, thats just ridiculous. Clearly Hayne (and eveyone else) was just expecting Gidley to eventually go to ground and play it, he knows he left play go too long but he can exactly dissallow it and say "yeah i should have called held 5 seconds ago, sorry".

Yeah, sure, if they were just standing there. But Gidley was still driving forward.

God damnit, what the hell happened to the Knights from the 45th to 70th minute? Not taking anything away from the Cows stepping up but it was brain fart after brain fart there for us

Glad we got the 2 points but not happy with the game overall tbh

You could see the team suddenly click on after Bederus gave a mouthful from the missed penalty goal by Gidley 35m out.

Bederus also gave it a spark with his running and determination!
What a bloke, gotta love him!

Certainly surprised me at the death. I suppose its one the most improved areas of our game this year, being able to win the close ones and grind out victories. We weren't at our best, a win is a win but if we play like that next week we will get towelled up by the Roosters. Next week is our chance to test ourselves against one of the top teams.

Newcastle won fair and square and were the better team for at least 65-70 minutes of that contest tbh.

Warriors x 2, Eels.

It's improved but we're still a long way yet. Our biggest problem is letting it get to that point to begin with.

I didnt say otherwise, in fact i said that luckily it didnt affect the result, we would have lost anyway, we just do need bullsh*t on top of that.

Lol @ Buderus no try.

Thurston's forward pass for their last.

Very annoyed though, im getting sick of not being able to get more than a 14 point lead.

With that has come close wins against Manly and the Titans along with combating a late charge by the Raiders in the first round. You are right though, its so annoying when we cant seem to put teams away, we don't have that x factor that the top teams like Roosters and Storm have.

One of Carl Webb's better games for a long time in my opinion. Actually put his shoulder on the line.

I still dont understand why someone doesnt smack Thurston when hes running across field..its the easiest tackle in the game

That is what I was thinking the whole f**king game. Oh look, there goes the most dangerous player for the opposition, we'll just stand here and wait until he passes it, and we'll stop that guy instead

Shut him down ffs, very frustrating.

100% agree, i cant stand it when the boys just stand around and watch a player run across field.

 @ Charlie blowing up at Gids' try. Never at any stage was the tackle completed/movement stopped. Bedsy's "no-try" on the other hand ...

A referee is only obliged to call held once he believes the player's progress has stopped and he has no opportunity or intention to offload the ball. Gidley was still making yards. It's up to the players to hold him until the call of held comes.

I disagree after just watching the replay, there was a point during the tackle where his legs were pumping but he wasnt moving anywhere, and then the 3rd cowboys defender comes in and he starts moving forward again and then he scores. Look, the better team won and we are playing like a bunch if pansies, but I think the ref should have called held at that point I was talking of.
