Last two trips the Warriors had up there in 2007 were both losses, one a big hammering :( and the other, no thanks to a try that was wrongly disallowed :(.

Here's hoping a little fortunes change :)

Oh great, they are going to be in that ugly red strip. Haven't seen the Cowboys' strip, but that blue isn't looking pretty.

I'm hoping for 1 win from this Queensland road trip. Hate to say it, but I think we are a better chance of knocking off a Rogers-less Titans side. This Cowboys match is going to be a toughie.

So this will be the real test if Cows are going to climb back to the top.
Dairy Farmers should be back to being vocal.

i posted this in the jersey forum. I reckon it's a decent jersey. Simple, but a great throwback to the 60's.

thats a nice jersey alright, very uncowboyish..

North Queensland Cowboys coach Graham Murray has named an unchanged side to host the Warriors in their National Rugby League (NRL) match in Townsville but hasn't ruled out a late comeback for star fullback Matt Bowen.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/4481627a1823.html
Murray named the same side for a third consecutive match after back to back wins against Parramatta and St George-Illawarra which halted a three-match losing streak to start the season.
A Cowboys spokesman said Murray had left the door open for Bowen to return on Saturday night, but he would need to train strongly in every session this week to prove his fitness after struggling with a knee injury.
Murray's loyalty to his winning side meant no room for Kiwis hooker David Faiumu, who will again turn out for feeder club the Mackay Cutters in the Queensland Cup this weekend.
Vice-captain Aaron Payne retained the No 9 jersey after some strong recent form, with Anthony Watts his backup on the bench.
Another Kiwi, former Warrior Sione Faumuina, is sidelined for six weeks after undergoing a successful hernia operation last week.
The Cowboys are looking to extend their Townsville winning streak against the Warriors which stretches back to 2002.
Last year they won the regular season match 18-12 at Dairy Farmers Stadium before they ended the Warriors' season with a 49-12 hiding in the playoffs.

Yeah,it's not that there isn't Cows fans on here - They're just a bit quiet and introverted.
Stir them up though and they'll show eventually;-)

Haha, fair enough Shorty.

Your jersey is pretty basic, but effective. I'm glad you went with a darker blue, as opposed to a teal colour.

I really hope the Warriors get up for this one. I don't think I could handle another drubbing at the hands of the Cowboys.

Will be a tough game in the heat of NQ.

Thurston will break us, but without Bowen, we could spring the upset.

Word is,Matty has been given until an hour from kickoff to prove that he is fit.
If that's the case we'd have him back into the side and Ty snapkicked back to pride where he needs to be for a while.

I really hope Super Ty gets his sh*t together this week, he hasnt looked very super at all so far this year. Im expecting Bowen to play, thought he was going to play against the Dragqueens too though.

As for the game, Cows by 30+, Butterfingers Vatuvei to have another shocker. We were red hot at home last start and came away with a gutsy win against the drags away from home, confidence should be high and playing at home in heritage round should see our boys post a biggie.

Looking for another big game from A Watts and D Weston, ive been very impressed with these two boys so far this year, keep it up lads

Does anyone else find it slightly weird that while most teams have a very traditional heritage jersey, the Warriors are wearing a jersey that was last seen in Townsville in the middle of a cheergirl brawl??
If they were worried about a colour clash they could have done a replica of our 1995 away strip ... that was a good-looking jersey.

I don't know about that Charlie. His hands tend to get better through the year, not worse. You'll have better luck in simply making him turn.

A wins a win (especially away), but the Dragons played pretty badly, so I wouldn't get too carried away on how gutsy it was. I still think that if you smack Thurston early, you can take the Cowboys down. At the moment I think he's a sook like Mason. Albeit an immensely talented sook. Also like Mason, if you don't get in his face early he'll toast you. However, I think his on field presence is maturing and there's only a couple more years where you can get that effect.

Cowboys by 4. Will depend on whether you keep leaking points like you do. Muzza really isn't a defensive coach, is he?
